French Quarter Inn
10/10 Excellent
"One of the best hotels I have had the pleasure of staying at. This place checks all the boxes. From the complementary champagne at check in to all the cookie socials. The property is extremely clean and quiet. Its charm is second to none and the staff truly go the extra mile to make their guests feel special. 10/10 would stay and recommend this place for couples in downtown Charleston. The only thing I would say is leave the littles at home because there isn’t a ton for kids under 10, and that’s the entire city. "
"We arrived early and were greeted with prompt valet service. We enjoyed the pool while our room was getting ready. Great cocktails and fun atmosphere. Rooms were easy to access and the location of our hotel was nearby a lot of good places to eat and shop. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will be back."
"Had to pay for Valet Parking as there was really no available public parking nearby. However, the Valet service was friendly and helpful, including offering tips for things in the area that I had questions about. The concierge was helpful as well. Very nice place and people."
"Exceptional historic home turned B&B in the most heavenly little spot in Charleston! Staff were warm and welcoming with quick and easy check-in and checkout. We were guided on a lovely tour of the home as well (highly recommend this if time allows). The room was spacious and updated; extremely comfortable bedding was a major plus after a long travel day. It was a joy to sit on the front porch in the morning while enjoying the ocean breeze, watching horse drawn carriages trot by, and seeing all the visitors to come to see the beautiful park. This is truly a wonderful place to stay and one of few opportunities to stay in this area of the city; highly recommend 20 South Battery!"
"Loved the exposed brick throughout the property, in their various sitting areas and in our room itself. The Restoration had character with multiple areas to congregate. Their “library” offered wine and cheese with music in the background from a record player! The host who greeted us in the library was very personable and conversational. Our room was a suite with balcony and full kitchen. It was nicely decorated, very clean, and the couch in the sitting area was very comfortable. This hotel has a rooftop bar and a beautiful view of the city. They also offer complimentary rides to local shops and restaurants. Breakfast was delivered to our room, as part of our reservation, promptly before 8AM. I only wish it included coffee (I assumed it would) and that meant a walk to the coffee shop within the building which was not a problem at all. We would stay here again as it is conveniently located near King Street and all the shopping. The staff was exceptional, very pleasant, unhurried, and seemed to really enjoy their job of helping guests."
