    Homely apartment located in the heart of Edinburgh with original marble fireplace with log burning stove. With only a 10 minute walk from the City Centre, the tram stop 3 minutes walk away and spectacular views of the stunning Calton Hill this is the perfect location to explore Edinburgh. we are fully licenced with Edinburgh council

    The apartment is equipped with everything for your stay (fresh linen, towels, logs for stove unlimited WIFI, board games, TV with freeview, Netflix, prime video and PLAYSTATION and games, large DVD collection and DVD player, washing machine & dishwasher (products provided for free). We provide you with some specialty teas, coffee, milk and Scottish fudge to help you get started. The kitchen is stocked with lots of cooking utensils or if you wish to eat out there are plenty of great restaurants nearby as well as all of the local attractions being right on your door step - absolutely everything is within walking distance. The apartment has a large entrance open plan hallway which leads off to a bathroom with shower, 2 double bedrooms, a large kitchen come dining room, as well as a living room with a log burning stove with complimentary logs to welcome you home after a long day exploring Edinburgh. We are situated on the 3rd floor (top flat) but there is no lift as it is a traditional apartment

Great location with great book shop, cafes and large shopping centre nearby. Short walk to bridge to cross into Old Town (Royal Mile, Edinburgh castle etc)The apartment was so comfortable and cosy with the living room and kitchen being large and airy and well equipped. Fabulous view from lounge window too!

The apartment is very central, so you can do most activities on foot.There is plenty of space for four people and the view from the lounge is just splendid. We spent 6 very comfortable nights in the apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location and lovely, clean and comfortable apartment. Only downside was the parking (have to pay for parking during the week) and the apartment is up 3 flights of stairs, which is fine for non-disabled people. However, please do not let that put you off as we had a fantastic time so more about awareness than anything.

This apartment is adorable and well maintained. Martin was the perfect host. Its location is great and we were able to walk to many sights. Please note that it is on the top floor without a lift with three flights of 20 stairs each for those who would have trouble climbing them. The bed and pillows were a bit hard for me but all was clean and tidy.

Quiet Location Close to City Center

We had a lovely stay at this flat. It was a 2 minute walk to the tram stop and had loads of restaurants, cafes, and conveniences close by. There were a lot of stairs but the cozy rooms and great view are worth it!

Cousins adventure

Lovely stay for myself and 3 cousins. Great location if you don’t mind walking. 3rd floor stairs only so be prepared to lug your luggage up them :) Beds were comfortable and shower was nice.

Edinburgh flat

Martin's place was perfect for me and my two adult children. My son and I flew over from the States to visit my daughter who is studying at St. Andrew's University. The flat was perfect - cute, clean, comfy, and was located within walking distance of everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again!

Perfect in every way!

This property was way beyond our expectations! It was walking distance to so much that Edinburg has to offer, but in a quiet location. Martin has thought of everything to make the stay special and the decor of the flat is spot on. Beautifully worn wood floors, comfortable and useful space with real furniture, not rental property stuff. Bravo!

Charming flat

Martin was a great host and very accommodating of our early check-in. Unit exceeded our expectations and has lovely views. Great central location for visiting the different parts of the city with lots of grocery stores and cafes nearby. Great wifi, a French press for coffee, a little building noise but earplugs eliminated that, friendly neighbors, lots of hot water & water pressure. There is no elevator but the stairs (3 floors up) were not a problem for us. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again without any hesitation.

Great Stay!

Lovely spacious and clean apartment in great location. Very well equipped, nicely decorated and, of course, such a beautiful view from the living room window. We appreciated the extra set of keys for our group of 3. Carrying heavy luggage up the stairs was quite the effort but quickly forgotten once inside the apartment. Martin was communicative throughout the process. We walked everywhere with ease and our favourite stop each morning was just around the corner to an Italian delicatessen for the best coffee experienced throughout our 14-day travel. We highly recommend Martin's apartment!

Appreciated books, local maps, extra adapters, sweet treats, teas, comfortable living room, cleanliness, security, decor. Did not anticipate there was no lift to bring our 3 large luggage bags up the 3 flights of 21 stairs each. Lack of accessibility should be more clearly stated.

Very close to the centre of the city. We were able to walk to all of the activities of the Fringe festival. The flat was a welcome retreat after our busy days.and had everything that we needed. Great stay

We had a great stay. Wonderful bathroom with plenty of hot water. Well stocked, updated kitchen. Kitchen has been renovated since listing photos. Comfortable living room. Beds are only double, rather than Queen, which was a bit small for the over six foot males. One bedroom doesn’t have exterior window. Apartment is on third floor, so lots of stairs and no lift. Great view though because of that. We had a great time.

All around excellence - Highly recommend!

Just returned home from a 10 day visit to my old home town and I couldn’t be happier with the accommodation. It was centrally located, with easy walking access to the new and old town it also had easy access to the trams (to and from the airport) and other public transport. Shopping, restaurants and bars where practically on the door step. The flat itself was wonderful. It had warm, cozy, stylish decor with modern bathroom and kitchen features which made you feel right at home. The unobstructed view of Carlton Hill monuments from the living room window was amazing. The host kindly provides everything you need to cook if you are so inclined as well as provides milk, coffe and tea to start your stay. They also provide a washing machine and the ability to air dry your clothes via a traditional ceiling pulley clothes dryer. There were two bedrooms with double beds, but they also provided a comfortable cot that will allow three single travelers their own space. This worked really well for us to each have our own bed. Be aware there are no elevators in the building, but my Mum, who is nearly eighty, was able to climb the stairs with no issues. The host was easy to communicate and work with and check in using the key safe was really easy.. All around an amazing stay and would highly recommend it to anyone. In fact, this will be my first choice the next time I return.

Charming, spacious and very well-equipped flat in an interesting, well-situated neighbourhood with many amenities.Our host was quick to respond to the few queries we had during the booking process. We had no need to contact him during our stay, as all of the information we sought was available at the flat.It was a lovely space in which to wind up a most enjoyable tour around Scotland. And we have no doubt it would be an equally fine starting point, too.
