Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Excellent location (very walkable, but if needed, there's a bus stop right outside the flat for lots of different bus routes). Clean and comfortable, with good communication & easy to follow instructions.
Enjoyed our stay in this quaint apartment, plenty of good restaurants and pubs in walking distance, able to walk from train station, was comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for our stay and only issue was the skeleton key to open the door. Tesco express close by for basics
Lovely tastefully decorated flat in excellent central location for the Old Town. Let down by lots of rubbish right outside front door in street and down the neighbours stairs. However the unit itself is lovely
We really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean, well maintained, apartment, with old world charm and character. Initially I was concerned about possible noise level, as it faces a busy street, but there were no issues. In fact, we enjoyed wrapping up the evening with a glass of wine at the kitchen table near the window. It was nice to be able to take in the city. Bedroom faced a quiet courtyard accented with beautiful large trees. The location was very convenient. All the main attractions are within a walking distance (1-1.5 miles at most)
Many pubs and restaurants just outside the apartment as well. The airport tram station is a quick 6 min walk from the place. We found that extremely convenient. Manager was helful and responsive. Thumbs up on everything.
Edinburgh Holiday Accommodation was an excellent host, quick to respond to general communication as well as an urgent situation on the weekend. You know who you are! – thanks heaps, you get all the stars. I'd definitely book with this host again.
The flat was in a great location, close to public transport (bus and tram stops right outside the door, and easy walk to bus and train stations), pubs, cafes, supermarket & shopping centres and the city centre. Much quieter than the Royal Mile or other big touristy locations with mostly city workers coming and going, but really accessible to said big touristy locations.
Would I return to this apartment? Maybe. It was darker than in the photos, even with on quite a sunny day with the lights on. Floors are uneven – the building is old, so you expect a bunch of quirks – but possibly not ideal for someone with poor balance. Nice kitchen! and quite spacious for a city flat. Mostly everything was easy to use, though there were some issues with the toilet. The host was very helpful here, but a dodgy loo is not a challenge you really want.
Edinburgh was brilliant! I hope to come back someday.
Loved this apartment in downtown Edinburgh. Great location, roomy, traditional feeling with modern amenities. Walking distance to Edinburgh Castle and other downtown sites, Holyrood, and Arthur’s Seat. Bus stop outside the door, great bookshops and pubs next door.
This was a great apartment and it was centrally located to everything in Edinburgh. Easy to and from the train station. The apartment was well appointed and had everything you needed to be comfortable. We didn't discover the futon until the end of the trip but my adult son slept on the sofa's which were comfortable enough. We are not used to chair futons, so be advised if you are going to use the futon its the wide chair. Great overall experience.
This flat is well located albeit outside is currently under construction with tram line. Inside, kitchen was good, nice living room and bedroom. But we were disappointed with the pull out couch (2nd bed), extremely uncomfortable and the loft above as seen in photos, we were not allowed to use. This was disappointing. But very centrally located and very attentive managers. Lovey big windows. Thank you.
