About this property
An elegant two-bedroom apartment in the heart of the city. Sleeps 4.
Experience elegance in this seriously sophisticated apartment. The Hart Residence is a little slice of Georgian charm, ready and waiting to indulge you in one of Edinburgh’s most coveted locations. This two bedroom, two bathroom apartment welcomes up to four guests with open arms, and promises a perfectly pampered affair from start to finish.
After a long day soaking in the sights, the culture continues in this lovingly maintained example of Georgian architecture. Original cornicing, grand doors and windows, and curved walls frame the large, light rooms. However, modern pleasures are not forgotten as guests are treated to splashes of contemporary furnishing and all mod cons where it really matters.
The impressive living room greets you with sumptuous sofas, writing desk, and thoughtful decorative touches. Your entertainment needs are also met with TV, DVD player, and unlimited WiFi. Two comfortable bedrooms allow for a peaceful night’s rest. The large master bedroom has twin beds, plentiful storage, and an en suite shower room. The second bedroom has a king-size bed and a chest of drawers. As the king bed makes the floor space cosy, there is a wardrobe-sized cupboard for luggage storage located just beside the room to ensure a comfortable stay. A family bathroom completes this delightful home from home.
Please note we do not provide hypoallergenic bedding at our properties.
When it comes to location, you really couldn’t ask for anything better. Nestled between The Edinburgh Playhouse, Omni Centre (Vue cinema, gym, family restaurants) and Broughton Street (independent bars, bistros and delis), your entertainment options are almost unlimited. Upmarket shopping street Multrees Walk – think Louis Vuitton and Harvey Nichols – is just a hop, skip and a jump away, as well as retail havens John Lewis, George Street and Princes Street. Last but not least, The Hart Residence has the added convenience of a tram stop, Waverley train station and Edinburgh bus station just around the corner.
This property doesn't come with free parking but there is limited paid street parking in local area for an additional fee.

We loved the apartment. Short walk to city center. Lovely area with a comfortable vibe. Great restaurants all around, and easy to get to public transport to all the sites.
Long weekend in Edinburgh and the apartment was a perfect find!
Great location, comfortable and clean.
Happy to recommend and will definitely look to book again in the future.
Thank you Christine and team for a great stay
😀
Lovely and comfortable property in a very convenient location. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The location is on a very quiet street but everything you need is a short walk away. We would stay here again. Thank you.
Three of us stayed here in late June 2024. It is so close to Greenwich and there are quite a few restaurants and bakeries nearby. The place was clean, comfy, and offers wonderful views of the river and surrounding areas. Also close to Uber boats and the train. Very nice!
Great flat, excellent location.
Hot water pressure very low, shower sliding door will not allow a large person 6’4” 280lb to squeeze in but the bath did ok but took ages to fill.
Despite these issues we’d stay here again.
We found this place very comfortable. We stayed with our two grandsons. They slept in the master with twin beds and we used the double bed.
The living room had lots of space.
We didn’t use the instant coffee provided because there was a grocery store just around the corner with great coffee, bread and pastries.
We walked from there with our suitcases to Waverley station.
There is so much to see and do in Edinburgh, 4 nights was not nearly enough time.
The apartment is well equipped and very spacious. We really appreciated the large living room with tons of seating for when family staying in the area dropped in. The main bedroom is very large and comfortable for two people without getting in each others way and there was a ton of storage for all of our belongings. The kitchen was great since we like to make our own breakfasts and coffee each morning before heading out. The location couldn't be better! You are about 100m from several restaurants, cafes and pubs. Even a 10min walk will get you into the heart of the action and sightseeing areas. Highly recommend the apartment for your trip to Edinburgh.
Overall very good. Water power for the shower in the family bathroom was very poor - actually it was impossible to have a shower. Carpets badly worn out and in need of replacing. We booked for four people for a week and surprised to find only two toilet rolls in the whole property!
Not even a washing up sponge to wash the dishes.
The property is well situated and comfortable but it is rather tired and need’s refurbishment.

Very comfortable well appointed flat in an excellent location
We loved the apartment. It is close to bus and tram stops so we easily went all over the city. The whole process from booking to leaving was exceptional.
A superb apartment, perfectly situated for a relaxing stay in Edinburgh with an easy walk to transportation, eateries, grocery, and the amazing sights.
We stayed here 6 nights and particularly enjoyed the uniqueness of staying in a very old New Town building located near numerous excellent restaurants and the tram from the airport was just up the street. Within a mile are most major attractions. Edinburgh is a visual feast.
We only stayed 2 nights for my son’s wedding - all a bit hectic but the apartment was wonderful spacious, welcoming and central. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Great location, spacious rental for 4 adults, two of which were senior citizens (79 & 80). Easy access for then without a lot of stairs. Charming flat.
I booked this place months ago and I’m so excited to have stayed here. My mother and I were on a girls trip to see Edinburgh and a concert at the castle. I’ve never stayed in new town before so I was a bit nervous about the walk to old town. It was not a problem at all! Everything was so walkable and the neighborhood was incredibly quiet and safe. The space itself was massive. We each had more than enough space, the kitchen was well appointed and we loved the living room space. Literally no complaints. Any inquiries I had were answered promptly and we were even offered a flexible check out time if needed since no one was coming in that day. Will seriously consider staying here again when I return to Edinburgh!
