This absolutely gorgeous cottage is located just outside of the Royal Burgh of Linlithgow, not far from Edinburgh. Ideal for a family or small group, this three bedroom property will sleep six people in luxury. One of the three en-suite bedrooms has been fitted as a twin, with the other two having exceptionally comfortable kingsize beds. It may be of interest that one of the kingsize double rooms is on the ground floor. The open-plan living area enjoys a view over garden and the surrounding fields towards Linlithgow at the rear. Guests will love returning in the evening after a day out exploring and enjoying the area, kicking off their boots and relaxing in front of the exceptionally cosy wood burner. The dining table will sit six easily and there is a breakfast bar in the kitchen. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with high spec branded appliances and has everything needed for the prep and enjoyment of a family feast. Speed the Plough is located on a working farm and livery yard, and it may be worth noting that full serviced livery can be provided upon request.

    Located just half a mile from Junction 3 of the M9 motorway, the links to Edinburgh are fantastic. Linlithgow train station provides express services to Glasgow and Edinburgh within 20 minutes.

The Paddockhall Cottages were absolutely perfect for our group needs.

The Paddockhall Cottages were absolutely perfect for our group needs. We had 5 adults and one infant and it couldn’t have been better. Speed The Plough was a great size, beds were comfy, and the house was clean. The owner was super responsive and friendly. I would 100% stay here next time we are visiting Scotland.

A very comfortable cottage with everything you could ask for. In particular for us, the enclosed garden for our dog helped make it a relaxed place to stay.Don’t expect too much from the EV charge point. It was only a 13amp socket with a timed supply. Overall very impressive.

Overall we had a really good holiday staying at Speed The Plough.

Overall we had a really good holiday staying at Speed The Plough. The property provided everything we needed. The bonus of this property is the bedrooms all have en-suites.Location is ideal for visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow, Falkirk Wheel, Kelpies, Stirling Castle. I'd advise using public transport as Linlithgow is just down the road for trains. Park & Ride is also ideal and very reasonably priced. Everyone we met were friendly and helpful.
