Montvale Hotel

Montvale Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"This was our second stay at Montvale. Our stay of one night was not long enough. We enjoyed every minute of the historic Montvale. We had time to relax on the 2nd floor lounge area before we headed to dinner. Our Henry Cho comedy show at Bing Crosby Theater was cancelled due to the 3 fires in residental areas of Spokane. Thankfully I had brought card games to play. We found an area with a large table & enjoyed playing cards with our friends. Our room & the hotel was spotless & well kept. The bed was super comfortable & quiet. We had a great night sleep. We will be back & stay a couple nights."

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Spokane Downtown

"5/5 Stars This was a great stay and absolutely somewhere I'd return. The room was excellent: modern, comfortable, clean, and seemingly free of any defects. The bathroom nightlights were a surprisingly nice touch, the TV was great, and the bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Honestly, was that a custom size? It felt bigger than a normal king. The staff were excellent. Everyone we dealt with had a welcoming, can-do, "we'll get it taken care of" attitude that I really appreciated. My only concern was parking our trailer on the street, particularly given the visible homeless population around the area. That's obviously outside the hotel's control, and the staff actually did a good job alleviating my concerns by explaining their security measures and making sure I was parked within camera coverage. Breakfast was great as far as continental breakfasts go. Also, shout-out to Dick's next door. Apparently nobody told them it's not 2019 anymore. While McDonald's seems to have forgotten its job is selling cheap burgers, Dick's fed two of us at what felt like pre-COVID prices. Highly recommended. Great room, excellent staff, and a genuinely comfortable stay. I'd absolutely return—especially without a trailer next time!"

"I don't know what the name of the gentleman that was in the front desk, but he is prime example of how you greet someone and give them information. He held eye contact and was just overall pleasant. I've been to hotels recently, where this is missing and it's easily the first impression I get when I enter any property. And breakfast was first class."
