"Parking was easy and good, the rooms were clean and modern, and the hotel is clean and modern, the staff was friendly, polite, and professional, we requested to have a room that didn't allow pets because of our allergies and it wasn't a issue, There isn't any morning breakfast available but perhaps a voucher for Denny's which is attached to the hotel could be given. We found that the beds were too soft we are use to a firm mattress. You are in close distance to several shopping areas, eg. (Walmart, Grocery Store, Fast Food, Canadian Tire, Avalon Mall, etc ) and about 10 minute drive from downtown St John's. We would stay there again."

"The property was excellent. The views were amazing. The little things like the notchos, salsa, local refreshments and all everyday items were never overlooked by the owners and an outstanding job. Newfoundlanders are the best. no exceptions. I didn't give any stars ref contacting the owner because I didn't need too. The inside of the house and the layout/decor, very impressive. Great job by the owners. Even though it was the last house on the road (I think), still close to everything and absolutely no excuses. Thank you again and highly recommended."

"We loved our stay at the Whale Guest House -- we stayed in the Blue House. It was easy to find and check in/out, impecably clean, comfortable bed and shower, and has amazing views of the surrounding bay and open ocean in the distance from inside and the outdoor patios. The host / staff were incredibly helpful before hand with information on local restraunts and things to see or do (including boat local boat tour recommendations), and we arrived earlier than planned and allowed us to check in in advance which was greatly appretiated. On our final night we treated ourselves to an amazing hot tub under the full harvest moon reflecting over the Atlantic - it was a perfect way to wrap up our stay in Newfoundland. Thank you!"
