"Great view from balcony, everything you would need for a self catering holiday. Really good as a base as the main harbour is a short walk away and the Breakwater cafe is even nearer. If you are looking for chic designer decorated rooms forget it, if you want a comfy sensible base with a very helpful owner then this is the place. Yes you can see the building is older in places but overall it represents excellent value for money and a great place to stay."

Very well appointed and spotlessly clean.Be prepared for the short but quite steep climb up the steps from the road, once up there the view is spectacular and it did get easier as the week progressed.Top tip - if you plan to make repeated use of the ferry, we like the lower ferry, consider buying a multi-trip card which may be purchased on board"

"The location of the hotel is great, we were visiting family in Torbay which is less than a ten minute drive from here. There are plenty of bars cafes and shops a short walk along from the hotel. if you dont want to pay for the hotel parking there is a public car park at the top of beach road that is a little cheaper. The hotel is well decorated and the reception and public areas were nice and clean during our stay. Our room was spacious and clean, it had tea and coffee as well as a mini fridge. The bed was comfortable, as were the two chairs in the room. Staff were attentive, polite and helpful. We'll certainly use this hotel again on our next visit to Torquay. "
