"The facility is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location is very good for visiting Clairvaux. The staff seemed friendly and tried to provide a good service. The restaurant food was good and the wait staff, although trying and working hard seemed a little confused - I think there were some internal misunderstandings about the hotel procedures among the staff. "pros: best smiling staff. everybody's friendly and cordial. pool, sauna and gym are more than adequate. quite near to the downtown. breakfast and dinner options are just great. cons: bathroom floor was not clean. water was free for the first night only. Cmon guys it's only water. coffee machine was very limited with no cream or milk or decaf options. no microwave or fridge. "

"I booked this hotel because it had a restaurant. During my 4 day stay there was a coach trip in the hotel and this took over the restaurant with a buffet for the coach trip. There was no restaurant menu for the other guests and this was very disappointing."

"The place was a lovely hotel not far from the Christmas market. All staff and facilities excellent, the room was on the smaller side but had everything we needed. The breakfast was a bit expensive at €18.50 per head so we decided not to purchase breakfast. The hotel does have parking but only 18 spaces for the whole hotel which are never available. There is a multistorey car park opposite the hotel which is €18 per 24hrs max"

"Excellent location close to the centre of Aachen. Very clean with a modern bathroom, nice breakfast. Parking in Aachen is not intimidating, there's very good public multi story parking, I used the one at rathaus, 6 euros, very easy short walk to hotel. Nice staff, great stay!"

"The hotel was ok, but very tired. No check-in after 8pm which is just ridiculous, we had to leave what we were doing, go check-in and then return which cost us 90mins in wasted time. Saying there is free parking isn’t really true as you have to park on the side of the road, they let you park on the car wash forecourt next door, but you have to move it by 8am. We didn’t have any food so Cannot comment on that. The mattresses & pillows were tired and very soft."

"The hotel is a very old fashioned place, frozen in time. Rooms were clean but small and the bathrooms were very tight. However, the breakfast was very good and the city of Monschau is a must see, very picturesque little city, just lovely. Just a warning, everything closes early. "

"The hotel was fine, the service was terrible. We had to wait a long time to check in. We had dinner at the hotel and had to wait for 2 hours get our food, with no apology or compensation. A steak was overcooked and when we pointed this out, the server challenged us and said it was fine. We were so hungry we ate the meal, but would never eat here again."
