From the moment we arrived the friendliness of the staff at this hotel paved the way for a lovely visit. This boutique hotel is located within easy walking distance from the railway station and has incorporated modern facilities into a very quaint old building. The restaurant and bar downstairs added to the convenience. We arrived on a weekend when the town was celebrating an annual occasion and as such there was quite a bit of street noise. The property was in a really good location, close to most things a traveler requires. However, the check-in instructions were sent in Dutch, and when we sent an email indicating that we couldn’t understand them, the response was also in Dutch. Checking in turned out to be OK, however we didn’t see a soul in the reception area for the entire stay of 4 nights. It is hard to call this a hotel, when there is no one to speak to at any time.
