Fabulous location, with walks along the beaches and to the tessellated pavement. Short drives to many more viewpoints and attractions. The facility has a lot of history and is slated for a modern upgrade. Sure to be top of the line.

This was the best hotel we stayed at on our trip down under. It was so good that we were very close to changing our plan to spend another night. Everything was perfect, the room, the staff, the dining facilities. We loved the location (right next to the Tessellated Pavement) and hope to someday have the chance to come back. Perfect spot for seeing the peninsula. Lovely room looking out onto Pirate Bay that has the tessellated pavement. The Lufra has an old world charm that’s comfortable and unpretenscious.

We had a very nice room with a beautiful sea view. My only complaint would be that only one window had a fly screen so we ended up with a room full of mozzies! Had a nice meal downstairs and staff were very helpful. Beautiful location and easy parking

The staff were wonderful- in all depts. The property is obviously going through some upgrades and renovations, as it is an older facility. But to be fair the price was very reasonable and reflected those challenging conditions. The location is excellent and very much served our purposes for an overnight stay during our east coast travels of Tassie. And to be clear, we can’t say enough about how warm, helpful and welcoming ALL the staff are.

We stayed one night (Sunday 5th Jan), surprised to see room had no a/c. Initial thought upon arrival was I was on school camp. The downstairs area smells like it's covered in 40 years worth of dust with similar aged carpets. Morning upon leaving, the mens toilet in the lobby had no toilet paper. Meals in their restaurant were fantastic and so were the waitresses. Based on it's location, this place has so much potential to improve and leave a lasting impression.

Carpet in room tired looking and needs to be replaced !! Curtains were coming off the rails at each end. Very understaffed on arrival . One person attending to reception, serving at the bar, clearing tables in the dining area and assigning guests to the seating in dining room.

The views are fantastic the hotel is clean and tidy but without any real facilities I checked in in the evening so saw no one and left at 8.30am hand saw no one on the property The manager was helpful on the phone to ensure I got a key from the lock box but there is no real meals or breakfast service and the rooms are spartan Clean, tidy and very basic
