"Sweet Dreams" - Near Mentone and Desoto State Park

"The cabin is quaint and nice. Check in was simple and fast. The problems that we had the musty smell the couch in the living room. Awful smell move the cushions and it was at least 2 in of dust dirt old food dog hair. There were a lot of bugs like millipedes in the bathroom ants in the kitchen. We tried to use the hot tub the first night we got there and it was like a slime on the top of the water. Tried to skim it off. We got that all off went to get in. It was slimy on the bottom of the hot tub so we did not get to use the hot tub. The rest of the time tried to call the host but of course we had no signal out there. It is a beautiful sight and the house is really cute but it just needs to be maintained a little bit more. We were supposed to stay till Saturday but we left Friday because we just couldn't do the bugs anymore. But if it was ever cleaned up and taken care of we would love to go back."

"The view is unbeatable, the host is nice. He and the cabin are eccentric. The problem was that the cabin required instructions in how to operate the electronics - the a/c, the fireplace, the lights - everything. And he was gracious to want to meet with us and explain it all, but after a 6 hour drive and health issues, we did not want to socialize and only wanted to rest. But it turns out that it was very necessary to get his explanations about it all! I think if we had known beforehand about the situation that it would have went smoother and there would not have been an issue, but the cabin temperature was very hot and we could not operate the thermostat and could not wait for a tutorial on it and had to leave due to health reasons. I think if we had known beforehand about the necessary meeting with the host regarding the cabin operations we would have been prepared for it. Also, although the cabin was pristine and lovely, the beds were very old, small, squeaky, and did not appear comfortable. If we had not had such a long drive we would not have minded so much. We came expecting rest and relaxation and were met with a stressful situation due to our health needs. Could not get a refund despite not being able to stay because we had already went through check-in. Very expensive incredible cabin with an incredible view that we could neither enjoy nor be compensated for. Disappointing. I wish it had turned out differently."

"The location is tremendous, incredible view! Pool and fireplace are perfectly placed. Room smelled stuffy and could use a comfortable chair. Only ‘pot’ coffee available and the breakfast buffet was average. No way around valet parking , but they did an excellent job."

"Fun and adventure to be had all over! It did rain most of the time we were there and it did not affect how great the stay was. We were close enough to everything to enjoy popping over between the storms. The waterfall is epic! Great trails! And the service is top notch!"

"This property is truly amazing. All of the details, so much room. Perfect location in Mentone. The new additional room is so comfortable and inviting.
