I don’t like that place I won’t book it again in fact I didn’t even stay there I don’t like animals and there was no privacy I ended up not sleeping there I knew Early I won’t even sleep there
Nice view, but there are cockroaches and fishmoths everywhere. This place needs a pest control company ASAP.
At first Micheal told us to go on a booking site to pay via card, which he did on my cellphone. At this stage it was R800-00 per room. After the payment went through it was R830-00 per room. All good. I didn't mind at all.
Like I said the view is nice, but they do have a cockroach and fishmoth problem, they where everywhere inside our room and luggage. But even that I could handle.
After booking out after 4 nights at Backpackers on the beach, the owner gave back R200 key deposit. which we thought was the extra money that weng of the card. Almost 8 hours past and I get a phone call from this owner screaming at my girlfriend because I was driving at the time. Eventually I took the phone and
he continued screaming, not giving anyone of us a chance to speak. Making us feel like thieves. Calling us thieves indirectly. The more we tried to explain the more he said "no, no, no, no". Well, Micheal even said no that he didn't go onto my phone to go to web site in order to make the booking. And he said that we paid R660 per room. Which was cleary not the case. Looks like the owner had to go look on the camera and see for himself that Micheal did use my phone.
The total that was deducted from my card was R3319
Terrible, terrible, please do yourself a favor, even if they want you to stay for free do not go. The pictures you see on the internet are misleading, you will not find the place as advertised. The place is dirty, I had to cut my stay with them the next morning and moved to a cleaner place, we also found flies in their fruit salad, cockroaches in the dining place, bed bugs in their bed, the toilets are dirty and brownish, the showers are terribly dirty. The floors are so old and untidy. The manager is racist against blacks. This place should be closed with immediate effect it is not fit for human stay. I would not even put my worse enemy there.
