Accomodating stafff at Suncoast towers

The stay was excellent. However Hotels.com had posted a pic of the penthouse suite that I booked at a excellent rate, and I did not get that room, however the stay , breakfast was good.

I always like this hotel! Staff are fab, location is spot on! Only comment is rooms are cold in June and they’ve removed the robes from the suites and don’t have any spare for the standard rooms. I didn’t enjoy having to wear my coat inside to keep warm.

The property is beautiful, even though we only stayed for one night. The staff who welcomed us at the reception were wonderful, and we enjoyed walking around the beach. We had breakfast the next morning before we left, though the breakfast staff weren’t as welcoming as those at reception. I suppose not everyone is a morning person.

Fair hotel

The hotel is in a good location. The bathroom is old and needs to be cleaned properly as there is mould build up on the basin and although pointed out to staff, still remained uncleaned. Breakfast is really poor, worst in the Tsogo Sun group.

Nice hotel in front of the sea. Albeit, not walk

The hotel is good and the breakfast as well. However, even though is close to the sea, I was advised not to walk around as it is not safe, and is a hit dodgy the area. It is also not so close to the city center. The hotel is connected to a Casino area, which also by default also might bring a weird vibe when you walk a bit outside. But besides that, the hotel, the facilities and the people are great.

The Hotel is well placed for families because the restaurants, casino, movie theatre are downstairs which is convenient. The rooms are clean and functional however, the cleaners need to pay attention to detail as there is noticeable black mildew buildup in the shower. Vegetarian breakfast must be requested although the chef frying the eggs seemed to take my request grudgingly.

We have stayed here twice in the past year and have enjoyed it both times. Though this time we were on the ground floor passing through to casino. I was reassured when I mentioned it would be noisy. Noisy? No it won’t be noisy, I was reassured Well it was just that, noisy, in early hours of the morning. But the view was amazing and the location fitted our needs during our visit. The staff so helpful and friendly. I can not fault them. We thank them all.

Not value for money. The rooms are not soundproof. There was old wet dust at the tea station. Breakfast was medoicre. The overall room cleanliness was quiet average. Rooms are tiny and definitely not a 4star accommodation. Very Disappointing.

An amazing stay at suncoast Hotel & Towers. Great place, very comfortable room with a balcony with an ocean view as I wanted. I had a shower & a huge bath, I absolutely loved that. I was welcomed with nougat in the room and orange juice, very nice too. In the room, there's a fridge + coffee / tea / hot chocolate, kettle / coffee maker, just perfect to please everyone's tastes. At the reception, there's also complimentary beverages everyday. In the evening, the staff puts some complimentary chocolate on your bed and the weather forecast for the day after, I really appreciated that too.The staff is really friendly, nice and helpful. I really felt at home. Breakfast was delicious and Jeera restaurant is really great too. During the weekend they have a delicious buffet at the restaurant. Really great and excellent quality price ratio. The pool is very nice too, not deep but of a nice size so you can swim a little. The hotel is located just in front of the beach so access is really practical from 6am to 6 pm. Then, they close the gate but that's ok, you can just go through the casino and walk through the corridors leading you to the hotel so that's very practical too. For those who like to gamble, the casino is attached to the hotel so you can go there without even going outside, which is very practical and safe too. The casino isn't the only place of interest as there's also a great food court there. I could book my taxi to the airport from the reception. I highly recommend!!

The lowest ranking is given solely due to the design of the room we had which should never have been given to a couple. The hotel is modern, secure, well located and there are lots of restaurants available. The room we were given, 611, was by far the smallest we had at any of the ten hotels we stayed in during our holiday in South Africa. However, the worst feature was the fact that the toilet, washbasin and shower were integral to the bedroom. Even though the toilet and shower were surrounded by opaque glass you could still see a person inside. This was particularly the case when the lights were on. Obviously there were gaps so that the doors could be opened and closed. This meant that you could see and hear everything the person was doing. Even worse the light switches turned all the room lights on and off at once. Therefore if you needed to get up during the night you had to turn all the lights on, thereby waking your partner up so that they could "enjoy" the experience of you using the toilet! The room would be fine for single occupancy, which judging from there being only one glass is how it is normally used. However, why anyone should think such a room is suitable for two is incomprehensible to me. On our second evening we were offered a different room but we had to leave early the next day so did not take up the offer. So rooms which are not like what I have described are available if you decide to stay here.
