"Nice place to stay for a night. Kitchen had a coffee machine but no where to heat milk, there was an air fryer perhaps instead of microwave? There weren’t as many amenities as we would have expected, for example we had a spa but there was n Couldn’t get the shower water hot enough. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. "

Duck Bay Hotel

"My wife and I booked our honeymoon for a couple of days at the beautiful Duck Bay Hotel. It honestly was one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed at. We booked a Suite and got room 1 overlooking the incredibly scenic waterfront of Loch Lomond. As soon as we walked through the door, the view made us speechless, you really just have to experience it! We didn’t want to leave the room, it was so fun staying in bed looking out the window at all the swimmers, paddleboarders, boats, and jet skis riding up and down the loch! The double bed was huge, very wide, comfy and not just two single beds attached together (which annoys us at other hotels!). Dinner at the restaurant was brilliant too! My wife had the highland wagyu burger and I had the fillet steak, very tasty. For dessert we had the panna cotta and I had the cookie dough skillet with biscoff icecream (you need to try this, it was so good I ordered another one the next night!). Service with a smile, speedy, chatty, they made the dinner a great experience. After dinner we relaxed in the Duck Bay Marina and had drinks outside in the sun next to the water. We ended the night taking some pictures on the pier where you feel like you’re swimming in Loch Lomond. We had an absolutely amazing time at the Duck Bay Hotel and are actually planning another trip for next year… we’re just hoping room 1 is available again!! 😂"

The Glenburn Hotel

"This is a very good hotel , and the best value for money on the island. It is quite clearly an old hotel but very well looked after. The one down point for me would be the attention to detail with the cleaning of the rooms. The shower tray had hairs in it, the teaspoons and mugs were not clean. The carpet had quite a few "suspect" stains. Would definitely stay here again, but covered everything we needed to do on the island so probably wont be back for that reason. The breakfast was great."

The Oak Tree Inn

"We stayed in the main part of the Inn. Room was up stairs from the car park and in the building. The hall smelled and the room also had an odor that was not pleasant. The room was tidy and basic. Bathroom was updated and clean. Not what I was expecting - realized the images on the listing are of multiple properties. Staying in the Inn was convenient for the restaurant and breakfast - staff friendly and provided good service. Food was good. Nice access to Loch Lomond walk. Popular with local hikers. Would not stay again in rooms in the main building given the rate paid. "
