"While traveling with our 15 year old son we stayed the weekend in this lovely cottage on the property of Victor an Carina just south of Edinburgh. The hosts are showed wonderful hospitality and the cottage is comfortably set up to sleep three (or four). Great attention to details of all we needed for a comfortable stay including notes for outings in the area and for getting to Edinburgh by bus or train. We definitely want to return to this beautiful cottage with wonderful hosts."

"An excellent property to rent outside of Edinburgh. Perfect for dogs and families. The cottage was warm and well lit when we arrived and the fireplace was already prepped with a basket full of logs. The manager of the property was very friendly and she came over to introduce herself and check we had everything we needed. Strongly recommend and will be going back."

"Cute warm and cosy with a working fireplace! Lovely walks in the area and driving distance to historical sites. The place was quite clean for a pet friendly stay but there were was a few pee stains from previous doggos."

"Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. "Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips."

"Fantastic hosts who went above and beyond to accommodate are stay. The retreat was luxury from start to finish with beautiful touches throughout the property to create the feeling of a home away from home. Wi-Fi connection was excellent and full cable services and digital apps available, which was perfect for rainy days. "We stayed for a week during the Fringe Festival. The cottage provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay at a good price. It is a good base, both for getting into Edinburgh and for exploring the Fife area. There are some beautiful areas on the costal routes."
