"The Lodge was very rustic in decor but modern with the amenities that help make a stay away from home comfortable. The room, including the bathroom, was clean, the beds were comfortable, the linens provided were sufficient. The coffee maker was a bit lacking since it leaked all over the table. But we were most appreciative of the complimentary bottles of water provided. I don't know if this was true of other rooms, but our thermostat was set on a "cool" setting of 67 which meant that was the warmest the temp could get in the room before the A/C kicked on. Since it was still rather chilly thru the nights during our stay, our actual room temp got down to 62, and we had to rely on using the (electric) fireplace to take the chill off first thing in the morning since we (understandably) weren't supposed to run it while we were sleeping. The check in/customer service desk was actually part of the gift shop and zoo entrance, and the staff there was extremely friendly and helpful. The Lodge even has pet friendly options for those requiring that. Many area activities and attractions are within a decent distance thru the lovely countryside."

"The place was so cool! I loved the entire vibe, I stayed in the pine lodge and was able to walk right over to the restaurant, grab some drinks and food, and head right back to my room. They also had a whole game area with a pool table and poker table. And a reading nook! I can not recommend it enough!"

"Great, clean spacious place! The couch was unbelievably comfortable! The beds were even more comfortable maybe even the best night sleep I’ve ever gotten! The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware utensils, everything you would need although we didn’t use the kitchen! The property is beautiful. The only thing I think would make this place better would be the option for the outside lights to stay on. They were motion sensor and at night it’s really dark outside. For a mom and two 16 year old girls staying alone our minds played tricks on us when the lights would go out! Although we felt very safe inside the house and in the area itself. Recommendation to bring a Bluetooth speaker for music sets the tone perfectly when relaxing in the hot tub! We will absolutely return, and the owners were extremely gracious and kind! Highly recommended!!"

"We had a fantastic stay at the Secluded Chalet near Ohiopyle and Seven Springs. Our friends had rented the Bear Rocks community center for a get-together, so we decided to stay nearby—and it ended up being the perfect choice. We’ve actually been considering moving to the Bear Rocks area, so this gave us a great feel for what it’s like to spend time there.The chalet itself is tucked away among beautiful mountain laurels, giving it a quiet, private feel that really lets you unwind. There’s a cozy front balcony and a rear deck where you can take in the fresh mountain air, and the gentle sound of nearby runoff streams adds to the relaxing atmosphere.Inside, everything was simple but thoughtfully done—clean, comfortable, and inviting. The chalet was very clean, and the bedding was especially cozy. We also appreciated the little touches like games, a reading nook, and tea available for guests—it really made the space feel welcoming and relaxing.The host was also very responsive to any questions we had, which made the entire experience even better.We highly recommend this chalet and would absolutely stay here again the next time we’re meeting up with friends in the area."

"Very nice stay. Only "problem" was the heating situation. Each room has its own individual heating knob but it was still cold to use. We purchased a small heater from Dollar General so that fixed that. Place was clean. Be aware that the stairs are kinda steep. If you have children with you just know there may be someone downstairs. We tried to keep ours quiet so as not to disturb our downstairs neighbors. FYI Shannon, the light over the stove wasn’t working.Shannon was amazing for allowing us to stay an extra night. Our grandchildren LOVED having us for an extra day so THANK YOU!!!The kitchen & bathroom was fully equipped with many extras & the basket of goodies on the kitchen table was chef's kiss. Water pressure/temperature in the shower was EXCELLENT as well.Definitely would stay here again."

"It’s a nice place that needs a little TLC. The bathrooms and bedrooms could use wastebaskets. The availability of more towels and washcloths would be nice. "
