"Our stay was good , only thing was we couldn't check in when we arrived . Rooms were not ready , staff was great , called when it was ready . After staying I could say parking lot was full, full house, price was good . I was happy with the place overall . Older building, maybe needs a update. Loved the pool , and bar , with food !"
"Appears to be a former chain ala Motel 8 or 6. Older building near restaurants, bars, golf.
It was clean, very quiet and easy to get to my intended destination that night. My only complaint was the shower pressure was very low. Water was nice and but the pressure was poor. Good value and very friendly staff. I would stay again. "
"This is an historic B&B, it’s cozy and comfortable, like my grandmother’s house. The manager is extremely personable and helpful. Breakfast was at 8am, served hot with a wide selection of fruit, pastries, juices etc. Very much enjoyed my stay. "
"The house is beautiful and well maintained. It is a fun opportunity to imagine life in one of these beautiful old homes from the 19th century. A wonderful breakfast was served Saturday and Sunday. Simon was great. Friendly and full of tips and ideas to help make the most of our time in Dubuque. We stayed in Florence’s room, which had great views of the city, and the bed in the turret with curved windows all around. We would highly recommend staying here.
It was close to everything. We recommend the River Museum, the Riverwalk and Stonecliff winery, hiking at Mines of Spain and viewing eagles at Eagle Point. The murals were great, the Riverlight bookstore Sorpresa shop were interesting. Enjoyed good meals at Caroline’s, Dubuque Mining Company and the Copper Kettle. Loved the architecture in Dubuque."
