A very warm welcome from the staff. We were made to feel at home. The room was exactly what we wanted, comfortable, a lovely mini balconi, overlooking directly the sea. The breakfast was lovely and the coffee was excellent. I would highly recommend Glavovic.

Best vacation at a homely hotel

The hotel and the host were great! There is a seating area in the lobby bar in the next room, also outside seating. They have air conditioning in the bar and in the rooms, which is great. Within the hotel rooms they have done some recent renovations, main beds are brand new, loved to sleep in them and the beds are huge! Bathroom has also seen some renovations, there is a new mirror and shower cabinet, and the shower provides great water pressure with plenty of hot water. Within the room there is a large fridge and hangers for clothes. We loved the window into the harbour, you can see the beautiful sunset and have a look at the beach. Lopud has the best sandy beaches in the region, most of the mainland has rocky beaches. Now something about the host, Ljubo. He was amazing and great with the kids! He took care of all of our needs. The breakfast was included in our stay and they made the best scrambled eggs along with a fruit bowl for us and pancakes for the kids. On our last morning we had to leave on the first ferry, very early in the morning, and yet the host, his mother and rest of the staff made sure we got a full breakfast. During the evening we had some drinks from the hotel bar and they even made some non-alcoholic cocktails for the kids. Honestly, the hotel and definitely the people made this mini-vacation the best one we have had, so my thanks to Ljubo! The area surrounding the hotel has plenty of shops and restaurants to visit, we definitely found our favourite.

オーナーがとても愛ある人でした。島で天候により船が欠航するリスクもありましたがプライベートボートを手配してくれたり一緒に翌朝までの波の高さを確認してくれました。帰るのが早朝でしたが子供たちが好きなサラミやオレンジジュースを用意してくれていて心が温まりました。また会いに行きたいです。

Yövyimme yhden yön hotellissa. Yhdestä ikkunasta aukesi upea merinäköala, josta näimme auringonlaskun. Majoittajat olivat uskomattoman avuliaita ja ystävällisiä ja tavoitettavissa hotellin läheisyydestä jatkuvasti. Herkullinen aamupala tarjoiltiin pöytään ainakin näin toukokuun alussa. Low season aikana saimme myös myöhäisemmän uloskirjautumisen. Pienenä miinuksena suihkun lattia tulvi suihkussa käydessä ja huoneen ikkunoissa ei ollut verhoja. Lämmin suositus tälle hotellille, sillä siellä ollessa on kuin olisi kotonaan.

We had a room with a sea view at the front and the view was fantastic. Lopud is quiet and relaxing and well worth a visit. The breakfast was average but still very good value for money.

Great hotel on Lopud.

Great hotel, Very close to ferry and right on the waterfront. Room was basic but had every things you would need. Well Located near the main bars and restaurants on the front. Minor complaint, warm water runs out after about 10 mins, so slightly inconvenient waiting for it to heat up again, if one person staying.

This property couldn't be better placed, right on the beach front. The owner is really friendly and couldn't be more helpful. We stayed in a family room and there was plenty of space and lots of storage, fresh towels several times during the week and, possibly most useful for those wishing to travel with hand luggage only, they supply beach towels. Very effective air con in the room, modern bathroom, and breakfast was plentiful and good quality. They also offer half price sun loungers and beach umbrellas for people staying with them. Would definitely recommend staying here if you visit Lopud.

Hotell i særklasse

Dette er et hotell i særklasse. De tar imot deg som om du var familie og gjør alt de kan for at du skal trives. Det er ikke heis i bygget,men et par spreke unge menn bar opp koffertene våre. Dette er vårt tredje opphold på Glavovic og vi vil gjerne tilbake. Frokosten var god og sønn/svigerdatter driver Glavovic restaurant foran hotellet med høy standard på maten. Hotellet har også solsenger på stranden 10m å gå. For å komme til Lopud der hotellet ligger må du ta ferje fra Dubrovnik.

Charming hotel with friendly staff

We visited Hotel Glavovic with 3 children; 13, 11 and 2 yo. We had a very warm and friendly reception, the staff was always helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. The hotel is located just a few feet from the beach, and has a great restaurant. Their tuna salad was fantastic. The family room was nice, and worked fine for our family. There is no elevator, which can be tricky which smaller children but everything else was great. We found this a charming hotel where everyone (from the lady who runs the hotel to the guy who rents out sun beds at the beach, the cleaning lady, the restaurant staff etc) contributed to making us feel welcome during our stay. We’d love to return sometime.

Lopud Stay

It was a good place just by where mist of the action on the island is. The hostess was kind and friendly and accomodating. The stay was plesant. She waited for us arriving very late due to some miscommunication regarding the ferry.

Fantastic little hotel on stunning Lopud Island

Lovely, family run hotel. It's certainly not ultra modern or fancy but you don't need that in such a stunning location. I really liked the quaint, old fashioned style of the hotel, much perferring it to the resort hotel we stayed in, in Dubrovnik. The family are really welcoming and the service is great. I'm already hoping to return - this place is a gem!

Hotel is lovely. Somewhat faded glory but that is what makes it so lovely. The managers are wonderful. They go out of their way to welcome you and make sure you are enjoying your stay. Wonderful restaurant on the sea. Delicious food, wonderful service.

Small hotel in nice location

Right next where the ferries arrive. Very basic rooms and small hotel. No check in or any formalities, old nice lady just showed our room and gave the key. We were lucky to have really nice sea view. Small beach and many restaurants right next to hotel. We stayed one night, which was enough to see the small island.

Mycket bra hotell med perfekt läge

Vi hade fantastiskt vistelse på hotellet. Rummet hade en balkong med underbar utsikt över hamnen och havet. Hotellet ligger på strandpomenaden med närhet till bad och restauranger. Personalen var väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam. Köket och frukosten var också mycket bra. Vi kan verkligen rekomendera att åka till Lopud och bo på detta hotell

Einfaches sympathisches Hotel direkt am Meer

Das in den 20er Jahren errichtete kleine Hotel besticht durch seine Lage am Meer, die gute Küche und die sympathische Familie Glavovic. Nach 18 Uhr, wenn die Ausflugsschiffe ablegen, kehrt Friede ein.

Perfect Island Retreat

We actually love this place! The management was attentive and gracious helping us with our travels. The area is so beautiful you won't want to leave and this hotel IS an island retreat. We had made a review in error of this facility previously which not reflective of our wonderful experience. I recommend this place and will stay again soon!
