Having been priced out of Dublin city centre hotels, I decided to give DCU Rooms a try. And what a find! Spacious rooms, quiet location, comfy beds and great transport links. Glasnevin also has great places to explore especially the botanical gardens and national cemetery. Highly recommemd

DCU rooms are pretty good, they are Dorm rooms so some limited on facilities, but for a nice quiet room with a comfortable bed and a bathroom it’s very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Disgusting…. Go Somewhere Else!
Unfortunately, our room was totally disgusting. Water damage and mold around the bathroom sink and even worse on the shower soap dispenser, walls, and ceiling. Floor tiles were cracked and cut your feet if you didn’t step over them. The shower drain backed up really badly and barfed gross black chunks back into the shower pan. It appears the newer shower pan was installed on top of the old? Incredibly shoddy. Side table lights had burnt out bulbs, windows were stuck closed. We’ve stayed in student accommodation all over the world, including in other dormitories in Dublin. We weren’t looking for a 5 star hotel; but for the high price being paid, a clean room in good repair is expected.

The elevator was not working, the tv was not working. You cannot use the spad or other facilities from the campus Generally the hotel's prices are very high in Dublin. I was shocked how small are the rooms and overpriced

Excellent Value for money
Accommodation is hard to find in Dublin at the minute. This accommodation is clean, well serviced and excellent value. It is a student residence so not a traditional hotel format but in many ways this is so much more attractive. Guests have access to a small shared lounge area as well as your room and all the facilities of the university campus. Excellent value for money - well done DCU

BE CAREFUL BOOKING- ONLY PART TIMERS
I can only say, they are not there in the evening and they do not answer their phone, so was useless for my late plane arrival, could not get access. Hotels.com (operator was somewhere in America) was equally unhelpful, taking over half an hour to say they could do nothing, could not organize alternate accommodation and did not make a refund. Overall a very poor show.

NIGHTMARE. First time to give feedback on a hotel as a Expedia Gold member. It was my worst experience and I wonder why Expedia list it in hotel section. This is a UNIVERSITY DORM with a hotel level price! I was fooled by the picture. The room is just TINY. The picture shows you pretty much the entire room. Their front desk is only for 8am-8pm. The wall is paper thin. You can hear everything from your neighbors. The bed is terrible since it comprises two mattresses with different thickness. The surrounding is terribly noisy with college parties all night. But students there are awesome and front desk staff are also nice. In conclusion, the property itself is ugly and highly over-priced.

We had lovely stay & all staff so helpfully great little cafe for breakfast with Porridge & fresh scones. The students had there night out but it not affect us, & free car park. Right beside Boncuer hospital & easy to get to from M 50 would go back again

Difficult to find but fine.
I was attending an event on the university campus so thought this would be convenient, which it was. The room was fine, nothing special as you'd expect, but clean. Trying to find the reception was difficult. Signage in general on the campus is terrible. I found it in the end with the help of some students. Be aware there is no restaurant open in the evening on campus.

Know before you book
There has to be a better way to prepare people for what is in store for them in staying at this non-hotel. If I had just been better informed there would have been far less stress and confusion. This is not a hotel, it is a service outsourcing available college dormitory rooms to book as hotel type rooms. To be fair, the rooms are much nicer than the rooms I stayed in when at university with an suite bathrooms, but the process of getting to your bed for the night is very different here. There is limited access for the security of the students all around you. Parking access is limited availability. And again, you are not Inna hotel, it is a college campus. DCU stands for Dublin City University.

DCU campus dorm stay.
It’s a dorm room, not much else to say. Not easy to find, in the middle of the campus. Noisey at night, students outside in the court yard yelling until very late. The receptionist was great, the students were very nice. Had dinner at the pub on campus, great place, good food, good service.

DCU Rooms-An affordable, safe place to stay.
This was perfect for one night in Dublin! A simple, affordable room with everything I needed. The hospitality was unbeatable and it was very safe. It was also fun staying on a college campus. There is a short walk to the busses which take you downtown, so very convenient if you do not have a car.

Very convenient anc affordable
The DCO Rooms was perfect for me because I was visiting my daughter who is a student at DCU. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. I could see my daughter’s window from my balcony across the courtyard. It was s very nice stay. The room was nice, and we loved the common area living/dining room/ kitchen. It was very cozy and comfortable. We really enjoyed the balcony. It was nice having the kitchen because we could prepare our own food. There’s a Starbuck’s just a short walk away, as well as a gym and pool/jacuzzi if you pay for those services. Nubar is a nice pub, and underneath the library is a cozy snack shop. There is a pharmacy on campus, too. The bus stop is only a 5 minute walk away, and there are a number of buses to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely stay again.

College Dorm Rooms
I found this "hotel" on Expedia. It did say DCU Rooms, but not being familiar with their colleges, I did not know this would be college dorm rooms. The room access was difficult, having to pull 4 bags through the parking lot, around the building and across the square, where we had to lift them up steps, into a lobby, up an elevator and through 2 locked doors. They were very old, having separate faucets for hot and cold, making washing your face or hands a quandary-do you want scalding hot or freezing cold? Not to mention they do not furnish face clothes. The shower was a solid plastic piece with a hole in the side, that creaked with each step. There are no close restaurants. This is a campus and students are up at all hours, so you do hear voices outside early and late. I do not recommend this hotel unless you are a student and are used to this atmosphere and need a cheap alternative.
