It could deserve more than 4 stars, but due to an unexpected unpleasant event we have had to face trying to get back into the hotel after 23...the electronic keypad for opening a side door was or broken or out of order, none of the staff present inside.... not even a guy who works in the hotel kitchen and arrived there for solving the situation had been able to help us; I finally solved everything finding a window door on another side which was half open, maybe for giving a chance to come in knowing that the electronic keypad was completely out of order. Except that event, our room was nice, clean and with all basic comforts we needed.

The place was generally nice, minor issues notwithstanding. Eg my room didn't have either of the two bedroom lights working (one didn't even have a bulb). The main issue was communication. Right after the booking they sent a lengthy (presumably automatic) message, among others stating the opening times of reception, and to contact them in the case of late arrival. My flight arrived after 11pm, pst closing time of the reception desk. So I immediately responded asking for instructions. There was no answer. About a week later I sent a follow-up message. Again no answer. I asked my secretary to try to contact them. Their bot only spoke German. She eventually go through to the main office in Berlin. Only after a week of phoning and emailing did she finally get the instructions, which consisted of a night door with a code, and another code for the key box. In the end it worked out fine, but had this been a more short-term booking I would have been completely stuffed. This sort of effort should not be necessary, and is simply inexcusable. Why did they not react to the replies to the Expedia message they sent me?

Good no frills hotel ideal for overnight stay on the way to or from Dresden Airport. Bus to/from Terminal stops outside hotel. Good value rooms and breakfast. Complimentary drinks on arrival much appreciated.

One room was nice. The other room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. We requested a taxi for 4:15 am. The desk clerk said he would arrange it. The taxi never came and the nighttime contact numbers were recordings. We were luckily able to catch a bus to the airport.

Good place to stay near the airport

I had a late checkin, past 2300 but the security waited for me and gave me my key which I thought was good. Hotel is close to Dresden Airport and I was picking up a car next morning from the airport

The Hotel is easily accessible from central Dresden via tram and close to the airport--a 20 minute walk or frequent public bus service. There is no good restaurants nearby.
