Downtown Laurel Hotels, Laurel

"We loved everything about this place. It is very clean and comfortable, the host answers questions quickly, and it's walkable to everything downtown. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and we all slept well. The Dollar General next door is great for a quick grocery stop. We would stay here again.There are a couple things which may be an issue for some. There is one step up into the bathroom. Not sure why but if you have a problem with stairs, you may not like this. Also, the building is across the street from the train tracks that run behind the Scotsman. Several trains pass though daily (and nightly) and the whistles are loud. It didn't bother us but be aware the tracks are busy."

"Clean, cute decor, very comfortable beds! Walkable to historic downtown area with a variety of restaurants. Kitchen was nicely equipped for cooking if you needed. I was surprised that you could hear the train quite loudly in the middle of night -host had a white noise machine that was helpful. "

"Beautifully appointed apartment in Downtown Laurel! Air conditioning worked well, bed was very comfortable, and everything was so thoughtfully curated. My husband and I loved taking an afternoon to sit on the couch and peruse all the provided books. Because I am a big fan of the HomeTown show, I especially appreciated being able to read some of Erin Napier’s books. Very convenient location—short walk from train station, the Scotsman General Store, Laurel Mercantile and all the downtown stores and restaurants. It was next door to HomeSlice pizza, 2 doors down from The Loft restaurant, and a 5 minute walk to Laurel Creamery. Communication with the owner was prompt and easy. Would recommend! One thing: we didn’t see an elevator. Not sure if there was mention of one in the listing?"

"What a great property in a perfect location. Looks exactly as the pictures. Host is very responsive. You will enjoy the shopping and walkability to all of the downtown activities and still feel like you are tucked away at night. "

"My wife and I were very much looking forward to our stay in Laurel. We reserved the property and all was well. Our stay was to be on 3/12 through 3/16. My wife seriously injured her back and I had to reach out to the propert owner Jeff unfortunately on the 9th to let them know of the issue and Jeff responded quickly. This was understandably very late in the process and Jeff said that while their cancellation policy was generally strict they would allow us to switch dates to the following weekend. I thought that was super nice of him. He asked me to let him know if I could make that work and equally disappointing, I was not able to switch my days off. I reached back out to Jeff to let him know and to ask if it was possible to either receive a refund or asked if we could use our reservation for another agreeable time, and from that point on he complety ignored my messages. I did receive further automated messages welcoming us and and also hoping we had a great time which added further insult to the situation. The apartment looks great, and my wife and I were so looking forward to staying there and visiting the home location of one of our very favorite shows "Hometown" but now to be honest the way we were treated has made this destination lose some of its allure. Again, I understand about the cancelation policy being strict, but the idea of offering a solution and then completely ignoring me was very insulting and poor management/ ownership. Very shameful actions Jeff."

"Communication was lacking when problems on site encountered. AI generated app for checkin and out only goes so far. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay there. "
