"I did not have heat in the room for 2 nights out of 3. The additional sheets to keep warm were not washed as they're were many long black hairs on it. Breakfast was great and staff very nice. But it's not acceptable I did not have heat in the room for 2 nights out of 3."

It has that rare old world standard of service, gracious, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful without ever feeling performative. The staff go out of their way to anticipate needs and make you feel truly welcome. They do not just meet expectations, they quietly raise them. Dining at The Arms Public House is just as impressive. The food is consistently excellent, refined without being fussy, and always memorable. Add in the easy parking, central location across from the Public Gardens, and the hotel’s historic charm, and it is hard to imagine staying anywhere else."
