Quiet location, well equipped cottage, a week of relaxation. Only one negative comment. Black sofas in living area look very stylish, but impractical and uncomfortable to sit and watch TV.

Cottage experience
There are a few points that need improving:
Oven- the rubber seal was broken and therefore unable to use.
Shower- given the size of the bathroom the shower was very small. It was crampt and a lot of space taken up with the shower caddy.
The double sinks are too big and take up any counter space needed.
The overall cleanliness of the cottage was OK. I wiped down all the cupboards myself as there was a lot of marks.
When we arrived we had two spiders in the corner of the room, which wasn't the greatest first impression.
Fireplace- the inner side of the fireplace was filthy.
Washing machine- no tablets or powder was supplied.
We were also surprised that there was no welcome pack upon arrival e.g milk

Quiet and very rural
Comfortable and very well equipped, quite dark inside because of trees, needs attention to detail in the cleaning department! Bed was very clean and comfortable.
Directions from A2 should take you through Alkham not Lydden which has single tract road!!
Really quiet rural location, closer to amenities than you first think with some great local pubs serving excellent food. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing, ideal for the dog and for hiking. Norrow lanes may not be to everyone's taste but added to the adventure.
Very clean modern has everything you would need great if you have small dogs as lovely grassy wood land in the front of the property. They have thought of everything even two toilets.Had a very enjoyable stay .
Clean, comfortable, everything you need, lovely shower
Great surroundings, very tranquil and wonderful rolling countryside. Easy to reach many various sites of interest and pebble beaches. Toby (dog) had a good holiday here too with safe grounds and he loved all the beaches and plentiful cliff walks. Would Highly recommend- lots of driving though as no village shop nearby, only the pub quite a walk away down very narrow lanes.
Property beautifully located, many footpaths and lovely local village.
Had most home items, will say sofas not very comfortable, kitchen well stocked with most items, few extra pans would be good.
Place is a little dark, and can feel chilly in damp weather.
Lovely grass garden area, fun to walk around vineyard.

Heerlijke week.

Spacious cottage
The Old Stables is a nice spacious cottage with all luxury one needs.
There is only one minor issue: there are too many trees around it. This causes the inside to be rather dark.
Unfortunately during our stay the dishwasher, oven and television didn’t work. The dishwasher and television were repaired on our last day. The oven should be repaired by now.
These faulty devices should have been discovered before our arrival.
On arriving at the cottage we couldn’t get inside. The mail with the neccesary information was not received (not received completely) by us. This can happen. Worse was: we couldn’t get hold of our contact at Homeaway! Thanks to our neighbour and the owner we were able to get in. Homeaway must make sure they are available for questions on arrival of guests.
The above may seem a bit negative, but we did have a wonderful holiday.
Pictures portray the cottage accurately, furnished very well with modern fittings. The pictures however don't do the outside areas justice, huge, beautiful grounds, was a pleasure waking in the morning to the sun rising through the trees and rabbits playing outside.
There is WiFi in the cottage, which to be honest wasn't the greatest, however we went for a week to get away from it all, so this wasn't an issue. There was no welcome pack on arrival, however given the price and facilities of the cottage this again was no issue, just be aware you'll need your own milk and tea bags for a cuppa when you arrive.
The location of the property is ideal, about 10 mins drive from a large 24 hour Tesco in Dover, and about 20 minutes drive from Canterbury. At Canterbury, we used the New Dover Road park and ride facility, which offered car parking and return bus tickets for up to 6 people for only £3.50 total. Canterbury is beautiful and well worth a visit. Also recommended on a nice day is Folkestone Harbour Arm, lots of lovely eating places with great views. It woukd be criminal also not to visit the White Cliffs, only about 15 min drive from the cottage.
The Marquis of Granby pub is close by, which offers lovely meals, has a beautiful beer garden, and is dog friendly. We walked from the cottage, it took us 18 mins each way, or obviously only a couple of minutes by car.
All in all, a fantastic, beautiful cottage in a perfect location, couldn't recommend highly enough.
