Great stay. Excellent location. Beautiful old hotel.
The hotel is in a lovely old building, next to a golf course and the coast, in a pretty village. My wife and I enjoyed our stay there. It is a quiet and comfortable hotel, with good dining. I could imagine sitting out on the front verandah on a warm day, with a cold drink in hand; a very pleasant place to be.
Great hotel with friendly and attentive staff. Excellent restaurant and room was lovely. I would recommend and look forward to returning in the future.
Beautiful hotel. Large room with a comfortable bed. Didn't utilize the restaurant nor the reading areas or snooker room, as we were only there for one night, but they looked intriguing.
Big rooms, breakfast choice good however really poor check in experience taken over 30-40 mins to sort out confusion with booking partner (Expedia). Not my fault with the booking, also gave me wrong room with inadequate towels.
Outstanding service , great bar food , luxurious room and public areas , and great breakfast. Minutes walk from the town centre and the golf club.Easy parking - extensively refurbished on 2023 , this hotel is superb.
Had a lovely stay at Dornoch Station.
Small problem with original room booked however this was swiftly dealt with.
Overall a beautiful hotel. Accommodating & helpful staff.
Food in bar and at breakfast very good.
Excellent selection of whiskies.
Love old hotels. The restaurant food was fabulous. The breakfast sausage maker should get an OBE. Rooms a bit small, but its an old hotel.
The lobby is spectacular
Staff were very good. Food excellent. The issue is that this is not a 5 star hotel in its amenities. The big fails are the lift which keeps sticking and doesn't then work, the truly dreadful paintwork, tables where the varnish has degraded so everything sticks to the surface, room fridges don't cool, holes in the bath towels.
Positive, this could be a marvellous hotel.
Enjoyed our visit. The reception is inviting and the room was beautifully appointed with the most comfiest of beds. Bar area is cosy with a snooker table to help pass the time on the rainy days. We ate in the restaurant one of the nights which was tasty and every breakfast was well presented and delicious. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.
I loved the property—next to or a part of the Dornach Golf Club and within walking distance to the beach and sea. The staff were phenomenal—kind, courteous, and professional. I found Bob and the rest of the staff eager and enthusiastic to assist their guests. They made me feel very welcome. I Highly recommend staying at this property

Beautiful property with nice room. Just a strange encounter with one rude manager. But we'd stay there again ! Easy parking. Walk to the lovely beach.

Felt it was a bit overpriced and undelivered. Bit of a communication mismatch. No offer of help with luggage, Breakfast was not served - it was a buffet. View from our very pricey rooms was of a tarmaced roof which had had several seagull visits. I know dealing with those characters and their calling cards is allied with cleaning the Augean stables.Seagulls do what seagulls do. However I'm sure the hotel would be just perfect for golfers. One of my chums wanted to see the course which is why I had booked the hotel. Certainly the view of the golf course from the front door and porch was stunning. Staff I met were pleasant and well presented. I would recommend the hotel to golfers.
The hotel had only been open a few days and everything had that lovely feel and smell of freshness.
The hotel lobby has the wow-factor - amazing flower arrangement and plush furniture - and our room continued the theme with a king size bed, lots of room and nice touches like a coffee machine.
Breakfast was really good too with cooked options and fresh pastries, yogurt and fruit.
The hotel was just ramping up to take guests so there were a few niggles along the way - the TV didn’t work and despite three requests couldn’t be fixed, staff were clearly still being trained up so there were a few amusing slips and awkward moments but I’m sure these will be quickly rectified.
Overall, a great stay - probably the highlight of all our hotels in Scotland and I would highly recommend.
