"This is just the most incredible place. The property itself is beautiful, the owners are kind and responsive and they have thought of everything. The outdoor space and interiors equally fantastic. You could just hole up here and have the best holiday -- but it's also a great location, in walking or cycling distance of a lovely village (with bakery, bistro and brasserie) and near the river, and only 15 minutes drive from some excellent places to visit. Can't recommend this place highly enough."

"We had such a great stay last September, we couldn’t wait to come back as soon as possible. This is a very beautiful house. Nicole is such an amazing host. She had the heaters going so the house was already warm when we arrived (it gets cold at night in February). She remembered which room we liked and had it prepared as well as other very kind & thoughtful surprises. We can’t thank her enough. The house is in a very peaceful, quiet setting and is really close to Bergerac, Bordeaux and the...

Top Dordogne Hotel Reviews

Hôtel & SPA Le Gambetta, Centre-ville, Bergerac

10/10 Excellent

"The friendly staff were so helpful and made me feel very welcome during my staff. The lift was out of order and the woman offered to help with my luggage and they were able to arrange a taxi for me in the morning. My room was spacious and modern. It benefitted from a small balcony to sit out on. The breakfast selection was good and a great selection of cheese, fruit and traditional baguettes. A short stroll from the hotel takes to to the old town and the train station is close by."
