"Great location and beautiful garden with views across the hills. Spotlessly clean and well maintained with all the things you may need for your holiday. The caretakers were very friendly and helpful and cared about us and the property with pride. Local supermarkets, petrol station and IKEA were only a mile down the road plus a five minute walk from the property was a pub serving food and an excellent fish n chips shop! Buses into town from outside the chippy were every 10 minutes or sooner!"

"Check in was easy, our room was available early. This is a big hotel, very much like a rabbit warren! Staff provided a map with clear instructions how to reach our rooms, which were situated in the rather grim looking Garden Rooms block. Inside, the room was spacious, well appointed with plenty of USB sockets. The ensuite was quite small, but everything worked and some toiletries were provided. There is a TV with a small selection of terrestrial stations available to view. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and tidy. We had an early start the following morning, so we asked if we could arrange breakfast before the usual time. They were happy to do this and provided take away boxes, although we didn't realise they were going to put out cereals, had this been the case we would have gone down earlier. We had dinner the night before in the restaurant (there were 10 of us), so had pre booked a table. The menu is extensive with a wide range of food to suit all tastes, including plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. They also cater for allergies with a separate section for coeliacs. The food was very good. There are plenty of comfortable lounges to relax in, a swimming pool and other leisure facilities. There was no water in the bedroom, but there are beverage stations located in various areas around the hotel, so we grabbed a bottle from one of those. There is plenty of parking, and the hotel is easy to locate from the A34. We would recommend this hotel."

"A brilliant stay. Such a warm welcome from the girls on reception - their energy was great! Food menus were fantastic, a lot of choice and every dish was a decent portion, fresh tasting and delicious. We had 3 dinners and 2 breakfasts in the Diner so tried quite a few things. Parking super easy, found a space easily every day. The room was basic, but spotless clean. Our only issue was lack of air conditioning/no windows that opened, so was a little stuffy on the first night we stayed. After this the weather cooled down so not really a problem. Incredible shower! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this chain again. "

"We chose this hotel over another (cheaper) hotel, because this one had a pool, sauna and steam room. Which we thought would be great after a weekend of Spartan races nearby. However the pool was really cold, and the sauna wasn’t hot. The thermometer in there read 45°. On the other hand, our hotel room was very hot, we needed the window open to let in a small breeze, but it wasn’t enough, so we didn’t sleep very well. Also, at around 3:30am, some sort of loud fire alarm went off and we were all woken up by it. As we had to have the window open, all we could hear was the town centre nightlife, it was very loud and hard to fall asleep listening to the shouting and screaming of people out on the town. This was all very disappointing. The hotel was clean, the bed was very comfortable and it was perfectly situated near shops, food outlets and the car park we used wasn’t far to walk to and from. We used the Broad Street car park, which the hotel discounted to just £7 for 24 hours use, rather than paying £21 for their own Carpark overnight. Check in was smooth, the receptionist was professional and knowledgeable. "

"Staff was great, helpful. Rooms were nice (we stayed in 2 different rooms as booked 2 nights in separate bookings). Loved all the bunnies around the hotel. 😀 Restaurant staff was also polite and efficient, food was not really good value for money but it was there and available. We purchased a voucher (we paid £20 and the value was £25 so that was also helpful.) We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Though they mentioned (as we had to leave when the breakfast time started) that they would be happy to do it for us to take it with us so that was very kind. Loved the decoration on reception and the whole place had a clean smell to it. "
