"Enjoyed the clean room, helpful staff and free self-serve laundry. Also liked the convenient location - steps to ShenZhen Metro, plenty of eateries around, and walking distance to the DongMen shopping street/area. It's a bit odd that our booking included 1 free buffet breakfast for two travelers, this may be intentional to get us to pay for a second breakfast which we did. The breakfast was good enough with a combination of Chinese and western options. So we started our days having breakfast at the second-floor restaurant watching the world going by. Overall it was a rather enjoyable stay. We were on a month-long trip through Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Shenzhen, and stayed at 10 different hotels. I would rate this one very high among the 10 but with the price at the bottom."

"Peter o the staff gave me an upgrade room when I arrived. His English was not too bad. The internet was unsecured and my VPN (Nord) was able to get a secure connection. I didn’t have a problem with getting my email (Gmail), I guess because of the VPN secure connection. After I left Shenzhen I couldn’t get any emails at all. I have been in Changsha and Xi’an and still no luck getting a secure connection with VPN in hotels in either city. Not sure why. So I’m not sure if being in the Crowne Plaza was the reason or not, but I’ll definitely go back again."

"I was a solo traveler, had a very smooth stay. The staff is super nice and helpful. The manager helped me arrange a private driver to take me to different meetings I had. The room was very comfortable, the bed and bedding were comfortable. I had breakfast every morning, it had variety of food. The gym is very simple, but it works. The complimentary self service laundry was very useful. If you want to eat ouside the hotel, there is a building with many different restaurants walking distance (like 15 min walk)"

"This was my first stay at MGM Shenzhen. As a new hotel, its facilities are top-notch, and the beach wasn't too crowded. I had afternoon tea at the East Wing café — the beef sandwich, bagel, and smoked salmon croissant were all delicious, and the prices were reasonable. Special praise goes to Ms. Svea Sun at the front desk, who handled my check-in key process. She took the time to explain the membership benefits in detail and noted down the issues I encountered with my newly registered M Life membership. She was extremely patient and thorough. This will definitely be my first-choice hotel on my next visit to Shenzhen."
