"We stayed at this hotel June 2022 and decided to stay there again whilst travelling in this area in May 2023. Once again the location was perfect (just off the auto-route), the staff were as friendly and helpful as ever, the restaurant presenting local menu choices as well as regular fare, the swimming pool for relaxation (although we didn’t use it due to cooler weather) and plenty of free parking. "The hotel is in an ideal location however it needs a complete renovation The rooms are tired and dated and the en-suite was un workable, the shower cubicle door was broken and wouldn’t close. The complementary toiletries were 3 sachets of shampoo which wasn’t adequate for a shower. We feel that the price advertised was extortionate for the facilities we had. We will not be returning or recommend this hotel "

"What a such a wonderful week at La Grange de Chatelus! We were three families (six adults, eight children) and we stayed for a week during August. No latching on bedroom door, had to be wedged shut. Little clothes wardrobe space. Not suitable for young children and older adults due to the 27 steps from ground floor to the bedrooms. Unpleasant fumes from the mower in the garage almost over-powering."
