Incredibly welcoming, gave us a tour of the hotel and our rooms, called the restaurant to make dinner reservations for us that evening and gave us several other recommendations. Poppy (dog) was so sweet, my wife wanted to take him home with us. The rooms were HUGE and perfectly decorated. I only wish we set aside time to walk the grounds / park across the road/stream. This by far was our favorite stay in all of France! We highly recommend! "

"This property was the perfect location in the Amboise area for my husband and I to use as a base for day trips to the area castles. I wanted to stay a little outside Amboise, and I couldn't believe this cottage was available. I felt like we were living a dream! This cottage is quiet and safe, but also close to Amboise, a supermarket, restaurants, wine tasting, etc. The owner is delightful! She left us a bottle of wine and fresh tomatoes from the local market. All kitchen appliances were easy to use. All the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The washer-dryer in the cottage was very convenient. We loved it and recommend it for families and couples. It was one of the highlights of our trip. "

The house is a beautifully renovated historic outbuilding on a large estate; the property was very well equipped with thoughtful attention given to every detail. But most importantly, the owners are exceptional hosts, and they went "over and above" to ensure that we had a satisfying and comfortable stay. We easily accessed the retreat with a 20-minute drive from the Gare St Pierre des Corps, where we rented a car from Avis. The house blends old-world charm with modern comforts—comfortable beds, a newly updated shower with instant hot water, and a contemporary toilet.We visited in mid-May when the weather was perfect. The blooming rose garden and nearby fields of vibrant poppies added to the serene ambiance. Practical amenities were just a short drive away in Amboise, with excellent dining and groceries available.The property boasts a rich history, highlighted by the cave that once served as a wine press for its renowned Vouvray white wine. The artistic touch of our kind hostess is evident in the beautiful paintings that adorn the home.
