We had a wonderful stay at Villa Nalanda. Visaka is an amazing host and provided us with everything we needed. All our meals were home-cooked and delicious, the view over the mountains was just incredible, and her team is so lovely. Would definitely stay again!

Best stay in Sri Lanka

What a dream this place is. Fantastic stay that felt like we were welcomed into a home of warm friends. Food was perfect, stay was perfect, view and massages perfect as well. perfect place for some rest and rejuvenation. Take a great book and fall asleep in the comfortable double bed lounger in the flower garden.

The property was clean and staff were very, very friendly and nice. Location is remote, which we knew that, and view of property is beautiful overlooking a valley. It doesn’t feel like a ‘hotel’ but very much a home stay, with very personalize deco and feel of a home, including a lot of family pictures and loved ones. WiFi / internet was poor. Non existence to be precise, which was a real downer.

Amazing view, incredible staff, highly reccomended

I would highly recommend Villa Nalanda. It had an amazing view, very nice and modern rooms (exactly like the photos) and fantastic staff. Visaka who is the owner and host made sure were were well looked after. Her home cooked meals were some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka.
