Not a bad smell but can't pinpoint what exactly it was. Bought some air freshener sprayed it around several times a day. Staff was polite and helpful. There was always someone at the desk. TV was small. But did the job. Safe area. Lots of lighting on the parking lot. Overall I would stay again if I was in the area. Really good for the price."

"My car broke down on the interstate a few hours south. Hotels.com attempted to get a refund on my stay, however, the hotel staff were hard to reach and originally unaccommodating to the electronic request. Never had a chance to make it to the property and stayed stuck in TN for 3 nights with no word from either company. I was promised by the Hotels.com agent that someone would be in contact but never received a call back or an email."

"The location was perfect and the host was more than accommodating. I recommend anyone who wants to stay in a quiet peaceful place and visit the national forest this place is for you. The only recommendation I have is check your email prior to going to the destination for instructions. The area is remote and cell signal is off and on. Once you arrive and access wifi your phone works perfectly."

"We spent 2 lovely days here. Cooked the majority of our meals in the kitchen which was well stocked, though we could not get the electric kettle to work (could be user error?). The bed was very comfortable and the outside was beautiful and well laid out. We used the fire pit and the hot tub. Bought firewood at a grocery store in Goreville along with some steaks to cook. Close to some nice hikes. Very happy with our stay!"
