Devil's Backbone Tours and Activities

We spent three nights at the British Colonial. The room was large, clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The pool area in general is well maintained, the gym is well equipped, and the staff were consistently friendly. However, a few things fell short. The shower had very low water pressure, and the beach and pool loungers are quite worn and uncomfortable. We also found the on site dining expensive for the quality. We chose the hotel for its downtown location, but many nearby restaurants close early due to catering to cruise traffic, so we ended up taking taxis elsewhere most evenings. Our “garden view” faced a courtyard and another building, which was disappointing. On our final morning, housekeeping entered shortly after knocking, well before checkout time. Overall, a comfortable stay, but not quite the experience we expected for the price.

Nice new place. Not enough hot water. No USB plug ins. Had issues with getting codes and key fobs To work. Buddy bought one. So can’t be to bad.

Beautiful resort overall. Good service and top notch amenities. Food was good, very pricey and not the quality I expected for this high end resort mind you we didn’t do the high end restaurants. Found the common areas, ie. hallways, casino, restaurants, to be too cold. Air conditioning was set to low for our liking.
