"The property is unfortunately in a rough neighborhood and may not be safe at times to leave the hotel and walk around. The staff are friendly and helpful. The WIFI is good. Restaurant food is good. The maid service was not good. They didnt listen to instructions well,would gorget soap, or towels, or remove our water and not replace it."

"Our room was spacious, and came with a working refrigerator and hot pot. We had electrical outlets to the left and right of the bed which was very helpful for all the devices we need to charge. Outside there is wonderful green space so you can ealk around the hotel grounds for exercise. The food was the only drawback. If it was choma, then it was excellent but the regular kitchen was standard fare. All of it took 1-1 1/2 hours to prepare and they didnt take your order till they opened at 6pm so we were eating later than planned given our early morning start time. At times, we were served a few plates and the others came 15-20 minutes later. I would still highly recommend it for all the other features. The staff are EXCELLENT! Someone has taught them customer service!! We were always greeted with smiling helpful staff everywhere throughout the hotel."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Ciala Resort. The grounds are lovely. The rooms are comfortable. The food is good and the staff are EXCELLENT (kind, thoughtful and attentive). We were in Kisumu for a wedding and didn’t spend much time at the property, but in the moments we had we enjoyed the pool and the gym. Breakfast was good with both local and international choices. Dinner was better. Unfortunately, on our last day my son got sick. The staff were so helpful. It was early in the morning before the infirmary opened, but Pauline at the front desk called the nurse and gave us tender care. Vincent was also amazing. Should we return to Kisumu we will definitely stay at Ciala Resort."

"Annoda's Homes is a quiet getaway in Milimani, Kisumu. The host was efficient and pleasant. Breakfast was full of creative surprises once she realized my appetite for healthy variety. This family property is well managed and full of pleasant spaces within the yard for small meetings and just quiet time. It is a place I would certainly return to."
