"Superb stay in extremely comfortable B&B. Exceptional welcome and local advice with directions. Perfect for overnight stop en route N or S ,a pity really to write that, as out of winter it would be great with family, as they have a large garden , garden room with self cooking facilities. Also top class restaurants in pretty villages, a short drive away( but not walk). "

The grocery store in the little town of Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne has everything you can wish for, even a nice Fish Department. Breakfast fine, but perhaps a bit overpriced for what you get. Staff polite and friendly, but not overly helpful. Location in Fleurie is excellent. If rooms were properly renovated, this would be a good choice. "
