"We stayed for one night in room 129 on the first floor of the new extension at the rear of the hotel. The room was just what we wanted - modern with a large bed and a good size bathroom. We had a lovely meal in the busy restaurant. In the morning the hotel (along with the whole of Blenheim) had a power cut. This did not affect us too much as we were flying to Auckland the following day. Would definitely recommend the Chateau as it is conveniently placed and had ample parking. "

"Our suite was perfect for a pāpā and his two sons. Had everything we needed to break up a long drive for a night. This motel isn't right in Kaikōura township so if you want to be downtown, there's a decent walk or a quick drive to navigate. This said, the staff were lovely and the parking ample, so it was perfect for us. The only downside was a neighbours aviary which was close to our unit and meant for an early wake up when the birds starting their day. 3minute walk to the supermarket was perfect for us, and a few minutes further down the road was a great Pizza joint with a good selection of beer on tap for while you're waiting for your food to cook. My 4yo and I were able to walk to the main township area in under 20min in the morning so no complaints at all re: location. "
