We generally enjoyed the openness but, as others have said, you should bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper due to the evening noises from bugs, roosters, etc. Bug spray is helpful but the mosquito nets do a great job of keeping bugs away at night. "Lors de l’accueil, la personne a monté le ton rapidement devant les enfants car ils ne voulaient pas nous donner accès à la deuxième chambre tel qu’inscrit dans l’annonce. Les photos ne représentent pas la bonne habitation qui semblait être face à la piscine. Il n’y avait pas de laveuse tel qu’indiqué. On a manqué d’eau chaude une journée et l’hôte ne nous a pas répondu lorsque nous l’avons interrogé à ce sujet. "

"Our stay at Le Val de Lys was amazing. Muriel welcomed us into the house and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The house was exactly how it was described. It is close enough to a lot of activities (Guadeloupe isn't that big). If you are planning to visit Basse-Terre, I highly recommend this rental. "
