"Thaala Bentota is an excellent place to relax during a vacation. Awesome location and amazing food. The rooms and fittings inside the room are a bit worn out and may need replacement to enhance the visitors' experience."

"Great breakfast. Great food altogether. They were a bit odd about when we could access the beach. It was closed from 12 to 3. Which was weird but other than that a great place."

"Clean property and room, walking distance to the beach. Also we had a good view from the balcony (partial sea). Very nice and accommodating staff. Suresh and Shami were very helpful. Good quality food and portion size (we didn't know that breakfast was included so I suggest checking with them beforehand). Only downside was that there were ants in our room but the staff cleaned the room promptly when we notified them. A minor thing - water pressure in the shower was low so if possible fix it."

"The resort is the labor of love of Chamal the owner. 9 private and beautifully done villas set in the middle of nature. We had lunch and dinner everyday in the restaurant by the river. Loved the property, service was warm and friendly and seafood was superb. Great find!"

"The staff were wonderful and much more helpful and friendly than the management. The room was wonderful and the food was good. It is further from the beach than other reviewers indicate but they have a very inexpensive tuk tuk service available. The pool is small but fits the bill when it is hot out and you don't want to go to the beach."

No Hot water for Bathing in the Morning.Tried to talk to the Hotel staff,they agree about the condition but are helpless.The manager was interested in coming out to help.
