Clean property and room, walking distance to the beach. Also we had a good view from the balcony (partial sea). Very nice and accommodating staff. Suresh and Shami were very helpful. Good quality food and portion size (we didn't know that breakfast was included so I suggest checking with them beforehand). Only downside was that there were ants in our room but the staff cleaned the room promptly when we notified them. A minor thing - water pressure in the shower was low so if possible fix it.

I was very happy here! Rooms were very big, clean, beautiful and comfortable, each with with big balconies. Staff were friendly and cooked a great breakfast! 1-2 min walk from the beach, and they have a deal with one of the beachfront hotels that allows you to use their lawn chairs on the beach.

location is perfect

This is a new property with 12 bedrooms and it is very comfortable. We had a top-floor sea-view room with a balcony and an excellent bathroom. Breakfast is generally 'western' but a Sri Lankan breakfast can be ordered the night before. Both very good. The location is perfect for the beach and nearby restaurants. Snacks, lunch and dinner are also available at Chami Villa. We would definitely recommond this property. It is situated in a small neighbourhood which adds to the charm especially when the fish, vegetable, bread and hardware vendors come by .... The train passes by very close to the guest-house and this, for us, was another added attraction.

Lovely stay at Chami

Very good place. Check in and out was very fast. Nice staff. Walk to beach is only couple of minutes away. Only minus is that this place is next to railroad, but it was also a nice experience to have. :) They have also couple of beach beds in beach side. Little far from hotel but they can be used freely if you have Chamis towels.

Okay hotel, horrible weather

If the weather was clear I think more of this hotel would have been available to us. Instead we just had a bed and shower which we're good and it was great location too. I'll be back when the weather let's me!

Nice hotel close to beach, large room.

Very nice place, we enjoyed. Very nice breakfast fruits, eggs perfectly cooked and very warm. Two minutes walk to the beach, one minute to the train station.

Nice big rooms

We were so cofortable at this hotel that we stayed a lot longer than we planned. The rooms are light airy and clean with a comfortable bed. With a nice balcony which you share with accompanied rooms. Which was great for us because we met some nice people staying next to us. Cheers Wray and Jacques. Thank you to Chami and staff for a very pleasant stay. If we come back to Bentota we will stay here.

Great stay highly recommended

Stayed at Chami for 2 nights. We got the best room, clean, helpful service and only 2 min walk to the beach. Unfortunately we came during Festival season so most restaurants were close in surroundings area. Felt like a high standard hotel at an affordable price. Would highly recommend. It's a family business so you also feel better supporting local economy :) It's also just a minute from the Railway station which is perfect if you move down the coast or back to Colombo.

Favorit! Super service, prisvärt, strandnära!:)

Vi var super nöjda med våra 5 dagar på Chami villa! All personal är super vänlig och tillmötesgående och hjälper till med allt från ordna utflykter till skjuts eller vägvisning:) Super bra wifi, många tv kanler och grym AC!:) Frukosten vad enkel men mycket god och stranden låg bara en kort promenad bort. Solstolar hade hotellet som man fick låna gratis:) Enda och då menar jag den enda negativa saken var att vi fick det enda rummet utan balkong/uteplats trots att det skulle finnas för alla rum. Skulle absolut bo här igen vi är i Bentota! Favoritstället på denna resan!:)

Friendliest staff in Sri Lanka

Staff were excellent providing transportation, tours and helping us with everything we needed for our stay. Linen and towels not the cleanest but we now realise that that is pretty much the standard in Sri Lanka.

kjempe flotte mennesker som driver dette stedet, fikk fisk på fisketur, om kvelden tilberedte vertskapet den og serverte den med fult tilbehør, nektede å ta betalt for maten!! så vi kjøpte litt sjokolade og annet godt til dem som takk, kan kun si positive ting om chami villa, vi bodde i den øverste, den gule, hotellet er 3 forskjellige bygninger.

sensationelle Privatunterkunft

herrlich, entspannend, familiär,sauber Die Eigentümer leben selbst im Haus und betreiben einige Gästezimmer im ersten Stock. Der Zugang erfolgt teilweise über das Wohnzimmer und den Essbereich der Familie, was aber nicht störend ist, sondern den Kontakt erleichtert. die zimmer sind schlicht, sauber und mit allem ausgestattet....AC,TV, Kühlschrank. das Frühstück war eine Wucht. ...Fischer smoothie etc. Das Meer ist in 3 min erreicht, am Strand überwiegen die Einheimischen. jederzeit wieder!
