Very good

This was the best little room I have stayed in south of Seaside. Great price point, very welcoming and instantly felt like a place I had been to previously that was welcoming me back. Will definitely be back to the Whale Inn.
Love this place. It.is one of our favorite places to stay. The only problem was the bedspread. It smelled like it hadn't been washed between guest staying. Otherwise, the place was great.
I was so happy with the perfect little apartment! Very clean, decorated perfectly, quiet. I want to come back.... if income wasn't a thing I would book for a week or more.
Had a good stay. Found a few things for improvement. The bathroom door squeaked and did not close easily. The door chain lock was broken. The door stop was hanging loose. One package of coffee with no filter for the pot was disappointing especially for a weeks stay.
The host called me about thirty minutes after I arrived and informed me my lock was broken. I was traveling solo and felt unsafe the entire time. When I left and came back, I had to use the hide a key that was very rusted and difficult to use, meaning I couldn’t put it back where it belonged when I left. The property manager then called me and made me feel like I inconvenienced her for her unsafe lock on my room since the door locked itself. Additionally, the smell of mildew was nauseating and I had to go out and buy air fresheners to try to cover it, which did not help. The one pro I will give it is for the price point the bed felt pretty comfortable
Not bad place, as long as you don't need hot water
This little property is clean and was ok for the price if you don't mind cold showers. Ocean is across the highway and there is no ocean view but easy walk. Very disappointing that there was no hot water for showers or doing dishes. Only got barely warm, never hot. It's not a matter of warming up as we stayed 2 nights and never had hot water. Bathroom only has light in fan so fan runs if you want light on. Marijuana smell came in through fan several times and I couldn't turn off fan while in bathroom so had to deal with that awful smell due to neighbor smoking. Check in was easy.
It was just what we needed, a clean place to stay on a quick trip. Very pleased.

Not a place to stay with dogs
They maybe dog friendly but they knew about my dogs waited until the day after I checked in to text me saying they were going to charge me for the dogs because I did not inform them, even though I did? Might be dog friendly but not really just want more money :/
