Such a great location for everything I had planned! East walk to Thump coffee, took bus to Globe Hall, Meow Wolf and Molly Brown House Museum. Didn’t need to contact host as everything was as described! Would definitely book again!

This property is conveniently located in Denver. I felt safe and secure with the locked gate. Parking was on the street, however it was easy and there are no meters. I would stay here again.

Great neighborhood
Chris was lovely, my husband and I aren’t used to snow and Chris helped clean up the property and shovel the snow for us. The location was great, close drive to all the good restaurants, nice walk to cute and cozy local coffee shops. Only complaint I have was the washer and dryer weren’t accessible to us during our stay, but other than that the amenities were great, parking wasn’t bad and he kept the place warm and cozy. Would recommend!

Great location close to mom and pop eateries
First, I love the area, I was looking to purchase a home in the area. This basement apartment had most of the essentials. I record player and albums were a nice touch. We enjoyed some lesser know songs from classic artists. I would suggest something more than a broken slotted spoon and pasta scoop and a dull steak knife for kitchen utensils. We left a chef's knife for the next guest. The spotted couch could use a cleaning as well as the mildewed shower curtain. I strongly suggest some kind of mat for the tub as it is slick as ice and a liability. There is a soffit that protrudes from the wall right at the height of my head. As I was settling in, I nailed my head right on the corner of it. Not bleeding but OUCH!!!! maybe that bed could be rotated clockwise 90° to avoid that happening to anyone else? We slid the bed away from the offending corner to expose years of dust and debris under the bed. Yuck. The vintage appliances are a nice touch but the freezer was so iced over we had to pull our frozen pizzas out of the boxes the even get 1 to fit, with the ice tray. The other pizza fit in the fridge. I preheated the oven and tossed in a pizza. After an hour, it still wasn't cooked. I wish I had known it doesn't work. We tried the other pizza another night with the same sad result of a soggy crust and a light shade of browning on the back edge. I should have called Chris to remedy the issue or for a workaround. I did lock the keys inside which left us outside of the apartment, but inside the iron security fencing. Fortunately the housesitter upstairs let us out so we could get to a show at Red Rocks that evening. Chris was great about contacting the property manager and the keys were retreived from the kitchen counter and back in the lock box before we returned from the concert. With a few tweaks, this could be an outstanding place. Love this area! Close enough to downtown without the downtown grit. Thank you, Chris.

Bright comfortable basement apartment. Street parking was a challenge. The neighborhood is established, and felt safe. Bed and linens were comfortable. The bathtub slopes down slightly, and was slippery. It would benefit from a non slip mat or tub floor appliqué’s. The door leading into the unit should be swept clean. A light near the gate access and short stairs would reduce tripping.

A Perfect Stay!
We had a wonderful month in this cozy, comfortable, and warm garden apartment. The hosts are thoughtful, responsive, and respectful making it very easy to share their property. The location near Cheesman Park is ideal. The entire experience was fantastic!

Remodeled basement apartment in cool neighborhood. Great location: walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Apartment is cozy, but ceiling is low; was a little bit of a problem for my 6’3” boyfriend, but bothered me only a little. Retro decorations are cute. Friendly kitty visited us several times.

My husband and I decided to do a quick weekend mini honeymoon. The neighborhood is quaint. A lot of walkable destinations. The apartment was clean and perfect for us. The bed as everyone mentions is super comfortable! Best sleep Ive had in months! The towels were also very nice and plenty of hot water for showers. The black cat that roams nearby is sweet! We named him Charles! There is a welcome book under the coffee table that is very useful with wifi passwords and instructions and helpful info. If interested in a nice steak dinner I gotta give a shout out to Bastiens near by! It was ah-mazing! Perfect little date night and reasonably priced. The apartment was cozy. Home away from home. The hosts are friendly also and not intrusive. Quick to answer messages and accommodating. Way better than a hotel! Recommended!!

Cute and cozy
This is homeowners basement apartment. We never saw them but we heard them upstairs. Christopher checked in with us by messaging. Very nice. Very comfortable beds, shower. Lovely neighborhood. We didn’t have a car but Uber/Lyft very easy and convenient and less than a rental car. We loved Red Rock, town of Golden, and a guided hike in the Rockies. Thx!

A good appartment with a few quirks!
This little appartment has just about everything you need. Kitchen appliances I used all worked well though I did not use the oven. There was no extraction fan above the cooktop so you have to be careful to cook on a lower heat and cook with the door open. The location has good access to the city (walkable in 20 minutes) and is close to Cheesman Park. Parking is just what you can get on the street, which sometimes means you park up to a block away but mostly you can find something close. There are a few quirks though. When we arrived we asked about the cooling system. We were told we could control it only by opening and closing the vents. There is a vent above the TV that vibrates and it is right outside the bedroom. (The bedroom has no door separating it from the living room /kitchen). We discovered the day we were leaving that this vent was controlled by a switch on the wall...shame this info was not forthcoming when we asked as it would have made for a better sleep. The air conditioning unit is adjacent to the outside wall of the unit so you can hear the unit compressor start up and shut off. There are no washing facilities in the unit proper and you need to ask to use the main facilites. This was no problem except finding where they were when no one was home and no directions were given, just the agreement that we could use them at an agreed time. It turned out after a few message exchanges with the owner that we were to use the door adjacent to the bedroom that had a sticky note posted on it saying “Do not use this door”. The second night we were there I was woken by a noise about midnight...which I think was the dryer switching off...makes sense as it turned out we were beside the laundry...but then I was not able to sleep after that as there was a light left on in the laundry which shone through the gaps around the door and directly into my face! It was not till we were granted access through the “do not enter” door the next morning , that I was able to switch off the light...messaging the owner at midnight to turn off the light got no response! The mattress was good quality but very soft. We are used to a firm mattress and we were able to achieve this by turning the mattress over. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows available for use. There was far too much furniture for the space...we ended up stacking a lot in the bedroom so we could move around. The new bathroom was great with good quality towels.

Hidden Gem in Denver
If there are 1 or 2 people in your party, you really should stay here. This is an incredible property near the park. The owners are wonderful and very accommodating. This property is like having your own mid century studio apartment. It has a kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine. The bed is very comfortable. Look no further. Stay here!

Great garden apartment around the corner from Cheesman Park. Cute vintage kitchen with coffee maker and tea kettle. Cable TV and good WiFi. The bedroom was big, had plenty of hangers and storage for clothes and had one of most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. I actually peaked at the brand when I left. The unit was very easy to access and owners checked in to make sure I was enjoying my stay. If you like early morning walks in the park and being very central to everything in Cap Hill or City Park West this is the perfect place.

Nice apartment in a great location. Cozy, comfortable and within walking distance of a lot to do. We used public transportation to see other areas of the city and easily traveled from this area. When we did use Lyft, a ride never cost more than $10. The host, Chris, was nice and somewhat available for questions. This apartment has “basement” plumbing so the setup is very sensitive, though we were super careful. The kitchen and bedroom are thoughtfully stocked with extras to help you feel at home. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved it! Cozy, vintage space for two!
Cute space with a vintage theme. Within walking distance from a few things. Chris is a great host. He checked to see if we needed anything and if we did, he had it there within minutes. Parking lacks a lot to be desired, but that's big cities and nothing to do with the property. Bed is comfy and the space is cozy and perfect for two!

We stayed three nights here. The bed is incredibly comfortable. The picture of the front door is not where you will be staying though. It’s kind of deceiving. The entrance to where you stay is a side entrance to the house. A previous review alerted us to this so that was helpful. We were very lucky to always grab a parking spot right in front of the gate, but I could see where it could possibly be an issue. The streets are narrow and cars park on both sides of the street. The apartment is very small. It is fine for one to two guests but no more. It would have been helpful to have a “welcome book” provided by the owners with suggestions of restaurants and etc in the area. The bed and linens were very nice. Better than other VRBO places we’ve stayed at.

This little basement apartment was wonderful for a short trip to Denver. Close to restaurants and pubs and a short walk to the park. We had our four legged children with us and they enjoyed the walks. Parking is a premium around the location so we chose to park in a public lot and Uber back to the place. Would definitely recommend this rental.

The apartment was exactly what we wanted - it was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, and the location was in easy walking distance to local restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. My husband and I are both fairly tall, and we had no problem navigating the shorter ceilings that come with staying in a basement apartment. Parking was also very easy for us.
