Such a great location for everything I had planned! East walk to Thump coffee, took bus to Globe Hall, Meow Wolf and Molly Brown House Museum. Didn’t need to contact host as everything was as described! Would definitely book again!

This property is conveniently located in Denver. I felt safe and secure with the locked gate. Parking was on the street, however it was easy and there are no meters. I would stay here again.

Great neighborhood
Chris was lovely, my husband and I aren’t used to snow and Chris helped clean up the property and shovel the snow for us. The location was great, close drive to all the good restaurants, nice walk to cute and cozy local coffee shops. Only complaint I have was the washer and dryer weren’t accessible to us during our stay, but other than that the amenities were great, parking wasn’t bad and he kept the place warm and cozy. Would recommend!

Great location close to mom and pop eateries
First, I love the area, I was looking to purchase a home in the area. This basement apartment had most of the essentials. I record player and albums were a nice touch. We enjoyed some lesser know songs from classic artists. I would suggest something more than a broken slotted spoon and pasta scoop and a dull steak knife for kitchen utensils. We left a chef's knife for the next guest. The spotted couch could use a cleaning as well as the mildewed shower curtain. I strongly suggest some kind of mat for the tub as it is slick as ice and a liability. There is a soffit that protrudes from the wall right at the height of my head. As I was settling in, I nailed my head right on the corner of it. Not bleeding but OUCH!!!! maybe that bed could be rotated clockwise 90° to avoid that happening to anyone else? We slid the bed away from the offending corner to expose years of dust and debris under the bed. Yuck. The vintage appliances are a nice touch but the freezer was so iced over we had to pull our frozen pizzas out of the boxes the even get 1 to fit, with the ice tray. The other pizza fit in the fridge. I preheated the oven and tossed in a pizza. After an hour, it still wasn't cooked. I wish I had known it doesn't work. We tried the other pizza another night with the same sad result of a soggy crust and a light shade of browning on the back edge. I should have called Chris to remedy the issue or for a workaround. I did lock the keys inside which left us outside of the apartment, but inside the iron security fencing. Fortunately the housesitter upstairs let us out so we could get to a show at Red Rocks that evening. Chris was great about contacting the property manager and the keys were retreived from the kitchen counter and back in the lock box before we returned from the concert. With a few tweaks, this could be an outstanding place. Love this area! Close enough to downtown without the downtown grit. Thank you, Chris.

Chessman Park basement apartment
Bright comfortable basement apartment. Street parking was a challenge. The neighborhood is established, and felt safe. Bed and linens were comfortable. The bathtub slopes down slightly, and was slippery. It would benefit from a non slip mat or tub floor appliqué’s. The door leading into the unit should be swept clean. A light near the gate access and short stairs would reduce tripping.
