This property was such a delight. We spent our honeymoon there and enjoyed the homey feel, the animals on the property, the walks, the birds, and meeting the owner. We would highly recommend it to anyone who likes a farm setting.
This was our second stay here and we really enjoyed the stay. Hospitality was excellent. It’s just a super place to stay and get away from the busy life.
Peaceful and restful! Beautiful Farm, loved seeing the animals and sitting out by the fire at night! We have family nearby on Badin Lake, so got to visit with them, go to the lake, buy fresh local produce and beef, and drive through the Uwaharrie Forest!
Stayed a week for the Old Threshers Reunion event. It was very close to the event and yet far enough away to not be in the hustle and bustle of all the travelers. We enjoyed the property with all the farm animals which were friendly and wanted to be petted. One of the highlights for us was the big pond for fishing. Another highlight was the game room. The hosts were very friendly and responsive to our needs. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys privacy on their vacation.
I really cannot say enough good things about this rental, property and owners. The owners, rental and property was everything we needed to get away and relax. we had a chance to talk to the owners a couple times during our stay and learn a little extra about the history about the house and the animals. The house had everything we needed and was easy to find. The property...just wow! It is off the beaten path so plenty of privacy and I just loved waking up and seeing the goats and chickens right outside the window. Then to be able to visit the rest of the farm animals and interact with them safely made this trip unforgettable. We will definitely be going back when it's a little warmer to see the trees blooming and enjoy the outdoor shower!
Words can’t express the joy this trip brought us. Quite literally from the time we arrived until the time we had to pack up and leave, we were filled with amazement, wonder, love, and curiosity! Scarlet, Minnie, Dottie, the chickens, the cows, and of course Max, all made us smile and left precious prints on our hearts. Andy and Missy were more than accommodating and we can’t wait for the next trip there. As Gabe (5 years old) kept saying “I love life on the farm.” The stocked pond kept us busy fishing.. We caught lots of fish! It was my 5 year old grandson’s first time fresh water fishing, and boy did he catch the fish!!
It's hard to put into words how special a stay at Fine Family Farm is. This was our second stay because immediately after our first stay, we knew we would have to come back and for longer. It was once again absolutely perfect. The serene setting, the adorable animals, and the cozy farmhouse are all anchored by the most AMAZING hospitality we have ever encountered in all of our travels. If you're looking to escape/disconnect with your family or friends - this is THE place. Not only is the property absolutely beautiful, but there's also the bonus of endless entertainment from all of the farm animals who become your fast friends. Staying at Fine Family Farm is truly captivating and our hearts have been captured forevermore :)
You are not just renting a house when you stay at Fine Family Farm, it's an entire experience! In the 2 short days we stayed (trust us, you will want to stay longer), our 5-year old made fast friends with all of the animals - Max the cat being an instant favorite and Scarlet the pig even sat by us as we dined al fresco in the beautiful outdoor space. And, the baby goats will steal your heart. Missy and Andy are such incredible hosts who have truly thought of everything. They have created such a magical escape and we are so grateful we got to experience it!
The Fine Family Farm was such a great experience for our family. Andy and Missy were perfect hosts, and their farmhouse is beautiful. Our children loved swinging under the pecans and hanging out with the animals. Thank you Fine Family!
Had a great stay and the hosts were so nice. Worked great for us, we were attending the Jeep Jamboree in Uwharrie, so just a ten minute drive to check in. Nice to come back and have a quiet nice place to stay, have a fire and roast marshmallows. Scarlet the pig would come great us and we had the freshest eggs we ever had for breakfast.
Cleanest farmhouse I’ve ever been in. The owner took great care in selecting items. Bed were comfortable and you had everything you could need. The location was perfect for all things nature and the property was beautiful. Many windows for natural lighting and the rooster never crowed before 8am. Book this farmhouse. You will not regret the trip.
Imagine waking up to pastoral views of cows and goats in the distance while friendly chickens cluck around in the yard. Our stay at Fine Family Farm was incredibly relaxing and fun for our kids. It was just a short (~30 min) drive from the NC Zoo, but I think the kids liked the farm more than the zoo! They got to pet a real pig and goats (with permission of the owners, of course). Plus, there was a large grassy lawn where they could run around. Even though it was great for the kids, I could imagine staying there just with my husband and also having an amazing time. The house had everything we needed - a full kitchen, comfy beds, a good supply of hot water for baths and showers, and great wi-fi. The owners were quite friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying there again!
We went to the farm, and made a trip to NC zoo, to celebrate our 7 year old's birthday. He absolutely loves the farm! Max the cat was his favorite but he thoroughly enjoyed checking for eggs in the morning, trying to pet the hens, hanging with the goats, and watching Scarlett, the pig, be her best Scarlett. I think my 14 year old had just as much fun. Scarlett was his favorite but both boys were equally excited about all of the animals. The house is cozy and has all you could ever want and is perfectly spotless. The hosts are super sweet and accomodating; we very much enjoyed meeting them and chatting about the farm and family history there.
Missy and Andy could not have been more lovely and accommodating. The farmhouse itself was full of history, well-stocked, cozy, safe and clean. My kids were spoiled by the basket of s’more making items and the hot chocolate and apple cider k-cups upon arrival. We had farm fresh eggs each morning and enough animal friends to last a lifetime. We’ll be back for sure.
We loved every minute on the farm. The house was so clean and charming and comfortable. We loved watching the sun come up over the hills and fields, and we saw deer in the morning. We are most of our meals at a picnic table under the pecan trees.
Missy and Andy were wonderful, welcoming hosts. We enjoyed just chatting with them, and they were always conscious of our comfort and needs. There was a full box of graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows waiting for us, and they made sure we had enough firewood and kindling.
And the animals!! Our son started the trip a little scared of Scarlet the pig, but by the end he was running around with her like she was a dog. He loved playing outside and having Scarlet, the goats, the chickens, and Max the barn cat hanging out with us.
We’ve already recommended the property to friends and are talking about when we can go back. This was exactly the getaway we needed. Thank you, Missy and Andy!
Lovingly tended farmhouse in a charming setting. We were greeted by Scarlett the pig upon arrival and welcomed by the farm cats. Very quiet and restful location.
We loved our stay on the farm! Because of Covid and having a 3 month old, we wanted a private place to stay away from a lot of people. Well we found it here. The kids loved all the farm animals especially, Scarlet the pig and the goats! We fished at the pond, grabbed a few eggs for breakfast, grilled out, played corn hole, and made s’mores. My favorite part were the swings on the property where I could sit and swing my baby. The kids are still talking about Scarlet the pig and when we’re going back again. The farmhouse was so quaint and stocked with all the essentials. Andy and Missy were wonderful. Thank you for a relaxing weekend!!
We picked fresh eggs from chicken coop for breakfast. Goat yoga a hoot. Pig was very friendly (Scarlet) and fun to pet and scratch. Host were easy to communicate with, and provided great local information. Bed comfortable.
This was an amazing place. We enjoyed every second from the time we made that turn into The Fine Family Farm until we had to return to reality. Missy and Andy We’re not only nice and very hospitable but educational! Every minute seem to bring something new. We are still talking about out trip. This place is beyond words ❤️🙏🏻❤️
