"This is a very nice place close to Sigiriya rock. The owner, Dinesh, went out of his way to make sure everything was great. We had dinner there which was a delicious assortment of home made curry. The breakfast was also fresh and delicious. We stayed in the room with A/C which was nice after coming back hot from a long climb. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable. "

The hotel is in a secluded location, in a managed jungle setting with abundant wildlife and is within easy reach by taxi of Dambulla and Sigiriya. "Only one major issue. The first night of my stay the hotel moved housekeeping staff into the room above me late at night. The banging and the noise was ridiculous and when I went to the front desk at around 11:00 p.m. there was nobody there, no night staff. Hotel shouldn't be putting staff in the same quarters as paying customers. "

"We only stayed for 1 night but would definitely recommend the Hotel Sigiriya and would stay here again should the opportunity present itself. Nice, clean and spacious rooms. The staff, especially at the restaurant (we had a bbq dinner buffet and breakfast buffet the next morning) were amazing. So friendly, courteous and helpful.
