You'll absolutely love this newly built amazing cabin in the highly popular Powder House Pass subdivision - Slippery Slope Lodge! With fully paved roads, access to the local clubhouse with heated pool, yard games, garage, 7-person hot tub, patio table with fire-pit, open living and full of windows, large TVs, Xbox, Internet and Satellite TV, and an extra refrigerator in the garage are just a few of the great amenities you'll enjoy while staying on your next vacation.

Located in the heart of the recreational corridor of the Northern Black Hills, you'll enjoy close proximity to the ATV and snowmobile trails and ATV/sled rentals located over at Recreational Springs. Trail #5 and the Mickelson trail run adjacent to the subdivision and provides easy connected access to the larger trail system in the area. Spearfish Canyon with it's rim-rock canyon walls, waterfalls, hiking and trails can be accessed in a short 5 - 10 minute drive and Deadwood is just a short 10 - 15 minute drive or taxi ride to enjoy the local restaurants and nightlife. Main Black Hills attractions like Mount Rushmore, Sylvan Lake, Keystone, Custer State Park and more are all accessed within about an hour's drive down Hwy 385. Whether you're in the area to enjoy some adventurous trail riding, sight-seeing, or a nice place to kick your feet up for the weekend, Slippery Slope Lodge will be the perfect place to enjoy some R&R.

After all that fun you're having locally, coming home to your very own private cabin will surely be the best part of your stay. You can enjoy a starry night sky while sitting in the 7-person hot tub, view local wildlife as it roams through the yard, sit by the fire on the table fire-pit or just enjoy grilling food on the partially covered deck. With over 2400 sq. ft. inside and 200 sq. ft. of deck, there's a lot of room to spread out. The living and kitchen area is surrounded with floor-to-ceiling windows bringing the outside, in. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals for you and your guests like a Keurig, 12 cup coffee maker, griddle, blender, hand mixer, crock pot/slow cooker and more. There's a 65" TV in the main level living area connected to the internet and Dish TV, and a 70" TV in the lower-level living area as well with an Xbox and 2 controllers. There are yard games in the garage along with a bar table with chairs, family games, and an extra fridge. The garage also has extra hooks for coats and helmets to help organize all those things you brought with on your trail adventures.

Beautiful home close to Terry Peak!

I wish this VRBO was our real home! It was so beautiful and perfect for our family and a couple of their friends who came along on the trip. I would definitely rent this home again.

Spring Break Trip

We enjoyed our stay at this property during our spring break vacation. Easy access to Terry Peak and the heated pool at the lodge was a hit with the kids when the weather changed from 60 degrees to a snow advisory. The house included several games to keep our entire group entertained. We will stay here again when we come back.

Perfect location for Terry Peak skiing

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay at Slippery Slope Lodge. The neighborhood is beautiful and located perfectly close to the ski area, restaurants and a grocery store. We used the hot tub post skiing and enjoyed eating meals and watching morning news with the fireplace lit. We have already started planning a return visit.

Girls weekend getaway

House was even more beautiful in person. Plenty of space for everyone. The amenities were beyond than any other VRBO than we have stayed. Plan on making a future visit with husband and kids.

Black Hills Vacation

Very nice property. Exactly as described and all the amenities . Very comfortable for us, and lots of extras included. Plenty of towels. First class . Outdoor area very comfortable, dining, hot tub and fire table. You will love this place. Quiet neighborhood even with SxS going by. Pool / community area very nice. We definitely recommend. Great Family Time

I had my 90 year old Mother, 2 children and 5 Grandchildren out for some quality family time together so we could also attend my niece’s wedding and this property was perfect to accommodate our needs. The kitchen was fully stocked so we could make family meals. The bunk room was a hit for the littles. The Clubhouse was a bonus, allowing us some on site activities as well as the ability to take in local trails, the Opera House and we frequented some businesses in Lead. I highly recommend it!

The house was perfect! It was so clean, spacious, and beautiful! The location was gorgeous! We had all of the kitchen supplies we needed with plenty of room in the fridge! It was nice having a second fridge in the garage! It was also nice having so many indoor and outdoor games to choose from! Amd we enjoyed the hot tub almost every evening!

Very nice cabin

Cabin was very nice and clean with lots of amenities. The only complaints were there isn’t enough hot water for a group. We could get in 3 showers and the rest were cold. The propane tank for the grill was completely empty, and I even reached out beforehand to ensure there was plenty of propane for us to grill. The cabin was stocked with plenty of towels, blankets, games and we loved the extra fridge in the garage.

It was the perfect location from Sturgis, the lodge is beautiful and adequately furnished for our stay. I would say 11-12 people are very comfortable for an extended stay. The garage is a plus and we were able to fit 9 motorcycles (2 being Trikes) with no issues. Loved being able to hang our gear in the garage and not drag everything in the house each day. The additional party fridge worked well with the number of people we had. I highly recommend the lodge and will be staying there again in the future.
