Very good

We stayed here for 7 nights during Christmas break 2023. Our stay at this was disappointing. The location and parking is great. Check in process was smooth. They collect, guest’s driver’s license to use the luggage carts. The property manager called on second day to check about check in experience and any issues. We communicated two of our concerns. He informed he will address, but it was not attempted. The bedrooms sizes are sufficient. The size of the living room and dining room are smaller for 8 -9 persons. The mattress in the bedroom with one queen bed was so soft that I could feel the springs. The comforter in 3rd bedroom seemed of very low quality. Extra blankets in the closet had some time of unpleasant smell & quality seemed poor.
The knob of shower mixer was broken, and it was very difficult to operate the mixing valve. Kitchen appliances seem to be old and well used. Waffle maker / juicer / grinder were not provided. Sufficient dinner plates, cutlery pots were provided. Very few quarter plates and bowls were provided. No large size pot to make soup / stew for 8-9 people. Any board games or puzzle was not provided. Sufficient clean and good towels were provided. A broom and dustpan was provided. Vacuum cleaner was not provided. I requested property manager to provide vacuum cleaner over phone. He informed he will send next day morning. It was never sent. Lazy river pool stopped.Outdoor pool & hot tub were clean and working.Overall our experience was marred.
We had a great long weekend with the family. Condo was spacious and the view was spectacular. Owners were responsive. The surrounding area is a little sketchy, but there was plenty to do with the pools and beach and resort activities, plus a bunch of restaurants and shops in walking distance on the beach. Overall great trip!
My family and I really enjoyed our weekend getaway. The location is perfect for Daytona. Conveniently within walking distance to most restaurants. ( Joe's Crab Shack, Bubba Gump, Johnny Rockets). The pool area was great for the grand kids and just to be at the beach all day and just walk back inside to condo is so nice. The condo is smaller than it appears in photos but there was eight of us (6 adults and 2 children) and it was just fine for us. As stated in other reviews the condo is in need of a update of the furniture and beds. That being said we would stay again because of the convenience and amenity's.
We stayed as an extended family in town to spend time at Easter with my mom. I cannot recommend the resort OR the unit enough!! We had minor issues with the dishwasher and the sprinkler system dripping and notified the management. Within an hour two maintenance team members showed up and fixed it quickly. They were super nice.
The unit itself was perfect for our extended family which included 1-14 yo children. I’d love to tell you more but you really can see all of it in the pictures which are exactly as you’ll find the unit. Just know that though DB isn’t the nicest of towns, you really can set up at this location and never leave if you didn’t want to. You REALLY need to rent this unit!!
The location was good and the unit was good. The pictures are misleading. The main area (kitchen and living room) are much much smaller than depicted. Since it is a owner rental...everything must be supplied by you. Would be so nice to have extra rolls of toilet paper and paper towels on hand. No floor mats for the showers. If the unit sleeps 8, then at a minimum 8 bath towels should be supplied plus floor mats. No hand towels, only two "makeup" towels. WiFi name not located..obviously turned off. Profile said it sleeps 10...but specs say max occupancy is 8. Overall rating 3.5. Meet our needs, nothing special.

Disappointed
the condo was nice, kitchen had miss matched pans and covers. you have to wash all you pool and bathroom towels, so you could have one for the next day. deck was not as large as it looks on the website. The pool was very nice, although the slide was out for repair. The beach how ever looks like it is part of hotel, beach chairs and umbrellas but they are not, for 1 umbrella and 2 chairs 40.00 a day, we had 6 adults and 3 children, clearly it would be another vacation pay. So we never went to the beach just the pool. When you leave the hotel itself, very unkept, poor area, I would not recommend this area. we ended up feeding the homeless every morning because we felt so bad for them. There were no restaurants, just mainly fast food.
The view of the property was great! The inside was ok. For the price we paid (25% higher than another unit at Wyndham our friends rented during the same timeframe), I would have thought the unit would have been more updated. The washer and dryers had rust in them, the shower floor has a brown/black film on it, the lights under the kitchen cabinets had rust on them and the dishwasher was used a few times during our stay but on the last day, we couldn’t get it shut to run it. It needs to be replaced. We had a great time but feel the rate was increased because it was Bike Week and feel like for the money, it could have been more updated. Also make sure you bring toilet paper because you only get a few rolls and it’s 1 ply. had issues with parking passes. Everyone had a parking pass but one of our friends tried to park when it was full and security and front desk acted like he was lying about having a pass. We had to come down and discuss with the less than helpful front desk clerk and security. With that being said, we had a great time but wanted the property managers/owner to know. Thank you!

Not a bad stay for the weekend
The resort facilities are nice for kids and the condo was set up well for our needs We only had a few small complaints that the resort kept re-directing us to a "owner services" number that didnt do much.
1) there were small brown flying roaches..so we kept All our food in the fridge at all times and plan on spraying our luggage when we return home.
2) there were only 6 bath towels and 5 key csrds for the 8 people (6 adults and 2 kids) we registered as guests...even though the unit can accommodate 10 adults.
3) The dishes were cruddy when we arrived, so we had to run a dishwasher load as soon as we got to the condo.
4) Housekeeping arrived before the 10 am check out time.
5) The resort did provide pool towels, but they do not exchange them except on Mondays and Thursdays. So for folks staying Friday - Sunday, you only get one set of towels for the whole weekend. We got rained put the first night while at the beach, so our towels were soaked.
We actually had to buy laundry detergent in order to run a few loads for the towels we had.
6) there is no coffee provided so bring your own or you can go to the Eatery in the lobby which opens at 7. The ladies at the Eatery are great though and make a killer cup o joe.
First of all the furniture on the ad was not in the room at all. It was a large red sectional type couch on the ad and a generic old blue broke down couch in the room.
The microwave in the main kitchen didn’t work. The water pressure was ridiculous, all of us ran out of hot water during the shower and the pressure was a trickle several times.
We came to our room on day 2 and all of the keys had been deactivated.
We stood there with food and groceries until my husband went 18 floors down to get new keys.
Also this is my first time renting a Vrbo that I had to get keys for.
There was way too much human interaction for this rental and we will never be back.
Key codes are the safe way to go during a pandemic. Not going to the desk to get keys then having to go back to the desk to get a second set made.
Washing machine by the bedroom doesn’t work correctly. It takes about 2 hours for a load, it gets stuck on rinse cycle and the clothes are soaked.
The WiFi shut our phones down. We had to get off to use our phones.
The shades had a hole in them letting too much light in the room.
Just very very disappointed. So happy to leave and come home. The pillows under the cases were brown. Filthy. I expected more.
We had an amazing time during our stay. The resort was very family friendly and we had lots to do without having to leave the resort. The apartment was very well stocked with enough towels and the kitchen had plenty of utensils to be able to eat there. We also enjoyed being able to watch the Saturday night fireworks from the balcony. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!
Great experience. We rented 2 condos from the same owners at Ocean Walk for our family get together for Christmas and had a great time. I’d rent this condo again with no hesitation. I’d only ask property to not paint next door patio on CHRISTMAS DAY! You could smell it while trying to enjoy the ocean view but it didn’t last too long. Otherwise, we had a great time and made wonderful memories.
We love the place. The kids and all of us had so much fun. The property has a very nice ocean view. There are a lot of different things to do and to entertain your kiddos.
Spacious condo with tile floors that were slick. My crocs were fine in there but sandles we’re slippery. Layout was nice. Property was a little outdated but good enough. It has potential. Pool was crowded but that is everywhere. No major issues. Check in went smoothly but I had read other reviews. Picked up Walmart grocery order and got there at 4:07 and was given keys to get in so that was nice. Overall we were pleased. A little spruce up with decor, paint and flooring would put this one in a higher rental bracket. Enjoy the value.

Ad is inaccurate
The interior of the condo is not like the pictures in the ad for the condo. Positives: the pool area is awesome and the beach of course is awesome. But the area around the condo is pretty sketchy. And the interior of the condo is pretty outdated. Even the balcony is junkie.
We enjoyed our stay. The master bed was super comfy, the place was spacious and the layout was great for us and our kids 23, 20 and 17. The amenities were fantastic. The only issue we had was at check-in. It was utter madness! We didn’t know where to go and we waited in long lines that we didn’t have to wait in.
the condo was amazing and very roomy with amazing views. loved the pools and water slide!

There was plenty of room
I had 5 kids stay with me full time from ages 4-13 and my other grandson age 10 months stayed a few times. The floors are ceramic tile. They were very slippery. The Littles kept slipping and falling. I could not let the 10 month old down on the floor as he was just at the sitting up and begging crowling stage. If he fell over it could have been very dangerous. I couldn't let him be on beds or furniture either because he might scoot off onto floor, which would have been very bad.
The location was great, but the folks from the south tower didn't know what was happening in the area for attractions. They sent me to the wyndham guest services to get help. The Wyndham staff said they could not talk to me due to the property owner rules. I had no help and 5-6 kids to entertain.
Good spot to get away and relax, first couple of days were tense, due to some take over Daytona by some Orlando dipsticks, but after they left everything was good. The elevators to the rooms sucked, many long waits, when your on the 18th floor stairs are not an option, I recommend getting a room on the lower levels, but you will miss out on the awesome view that the upper levels offer.

Need updates.
Condo interior looked nothing like photos on website. The room was quite dated but very spacious with an incredible ocean view. The beds were extremely uncomfortable due to worn out mattresses. You can visibly see a dip in the king mattress without removing the bedcovers.
While the property outside of the unit is alway nice the room was out dated! The bathroom looked dirty even though it was just old, there was rust in the dryer, large dents in the fridge and stains on the furniture. (They had a new couch delivered while we were there)
Was a nice stay but really needs some work!

Pictures don’t tell the story
The condo was dated and not maintained!! Couches, chairs, beds, dining chairs all worn out and need to be replaced. We had to clean the condo when we entered even after the cleaning crew had just left. The property manager told me that I was the first complaint he had received. If he had read the reviews posted he would have known there were issues. (I wish I would have read farther down) According to the property manager, he “manages” several units at the Wyndham. He also said the when he walks the units he doesn’t check the furniture or the beds. I would think that would be part of the inspection process.
Both kitchens had very little things to cook with (not what was advertised) and some of what was there was put away dirty.
The part of the property that was maintained by Wyndham was great, from the beach to the pool, and lobby to put put.
I would go back just not stay in unit 1804 in the south tower.

Bad experience
The resort advertises that guests are required to wear masks but most of the people aren’t. Maskless guests are rude, abusive and belligerent wanting to ride in the elevator without masks so we had to get out. When we complained to customer service who was also not wearing a mask, the answer was that the state doesn’t require it. It’s up to the resort if they aren’t serious about taking precautions to curb the spread of disease and infection, but then don’t make false claims and advertise just to lure people in. Will not be returning.
