Lakeside Retreat Lake Lanier-Enjoy fall with amazing hiking and wineries!

  • Welcome to Dawsonville and one of North Georgia’s most intriguing locations, Lake Lanier. Here you will enjoy beautiful North Georgia mountains, vineyards, outlet shopping, hiking trails, etc. Only an hour north of Atlanta. This quaint studio cottage has all you need for a perfect getaway.
    You will enjoy fully furnished nights with a plush king size bed, fully stocked chef’s kitchen, and a custom designed master bath with a stand-up shower and a beautiful air-bath tub. Comfortably heated floors are included for colder nights and a gas firepit table on the deck.. On warmer evenings you will enjoy sitting on the outdoor porch, overlooking the tranquil garden of evergreens or on the newly added side deck with views of Lake Lanier.(Please know that we are on the lake, but we do not have a dock.)
    This will be a perfect alternative to a hotel stay for you while visiting Lake Lanier, North Georgia mountains, wineries, or Dahlonega. We live right around the corner on the lake with a two story dock complete with lounge chairs on top. We also have two kayaks and a paddle board that are available with access to the lake from our dock. You are more than welcome to hang out on our dock and fish/swim. I also have parking for a boat and you’re welcome to keep it at my dock while you are there. We traveled here for hiking and also visiting the Roswell/Alpharetta area. This home was perfect for our stay and was very comfortable. There are many things to do within a 30 minute drive of the cabin and once you come back to the home it is very peaceful and quiet. The property was cleaned very well and the decorations matched the season which was fun to see. The manager is easy to talk to and is very helpful if there are any questions or if there is an issue. I highly recommend visiting this home and will be returning.

What a beautiful little house! We just loved staying there. We were impressed with all the extra little touches that Donna went to that made our stay so memorable. And such a nice woodsy neighborhood with views down to the lake. We will definitely be looking for any excuse to come back…soon!!

Donna (host) was absolutely amazing. She is very accommodating periodically checking in if we needed anything. Unit had all you could ever need as far as amenities go. Would give her 10 stars if possible! We would love to come back in the future.

Our stay was wonderful! The hospitality shown by the owner was exceptional and the effort she put in to make us feel welcomed is unmatched!! The home was adorable and very comfortable and clean! Without a question Donna is the best host/owner my wife and I have ever had. The property is excellent for Two people but Donna adds something special to our normal experience. The house is fully stocked with just about anything you need, including some foods and snacks. And Donna was always available for any questions or concerns we had. We highly reccomend the Host and property. And we will be back.

Gorgeous & Relaxing Getaway

We felt so welcomed when we stayed here! The fridge was well stocked. It was very tastefully decorated and we felt at peace in this home. The furnishings are nice and the bed was comfortable! It’s a nice quiet neighborhood too! The perfect little retreat! Would 100% recommend and stay here again!

The cabin is great! Donna, the host, was a perfect host. She left supplies in the kitchen for our stay. She asked me in advance what we like to drink. She had drinks and food waiting when we arrived at the cabin. Rooms were decorated for Christmas and clean. We were celebrating our anniversary and she had a card and sign over the bed wishing us a happy anniversary. She made us feel special and we will always have fond memories of our time spent at the cabin.

What a little gem! We enjoyed peace and quiet and had a lovely rest at the Lakeside Retreat. We were spoiled by our host Donna who is very caring and her place were fully stock with everything you need. It was very clean and spacious for a couple to enjoy a quick get away for a week or weekend. Donna we will be back, thank you very much for checking on us often to make sure we have what we needed. We will definitely book the Lakeside Retreat again.

Trip to Dahlonega

Our stay at this property was excellent. It exceeded our expectations. Ms. Donna was extremely attentive to our needs. Cabin was extremely clean and cozy. Can't say enough good things about this location and would rate it above 5 stars if we could.

Best VRBO rental ever!

Our cottage was as lovely as it looked in the photos. It was comfortable, clean and beautifully appointed, with our comfort in mind. The refrigerator was well stocked (and even included the wine of my choice!), and there were fluffy, soft robes provided. Donna spared no detail to insure our comfort and enjoyment.

Beautiful Property, Great Hospitality!

This property was just as cute as the pictures. The cabin was spotless and well maintained, the fridge was filled with all of the necessities and then some - and Donna even grabbed a few of our favorite snacks and beverages, a very welcoming touch. Donna's hospitality is top notch, we will be back!
