Hilton Tangier City Center

Hilton Tangier City Center

8/10 Good
"Breakfast was excellent , with a fantastic view over the ocean . The Moroccan dinner we had the night before in the hotel restaurant was also excellent. King size bed was very comfortable and location next to the Tangier train station was perfect for onward travel . On the night we stayed there seemed to be a slight plumbing issue as the bathroom sink would not drain … but apart from that everything was great and we definitely stay here again. Staff were very helpful."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Dar Chaoui?
The best area to stay in Dar Chaoui is the coastal stretch around the Achakar and Sidi Kacem beaches, offering a blend of natural beauty and convenient access to local attractions.

This area is characterised by its stunning Atlantic coastline, with sandy beaches superb for relaxation and water activities. You'll find a selection of high-quality hotels and villas located amongst the greenery, many offering direct beach access and impressive sea views. The famous Hercules Caves are also a short drive away, providing a fascinating historical and geological site to explore.

For couples seeking a romantic and tranquil escape, staying near Achakar Beach is ideal. The serene environment, breathtaking sunsets over the Atlantic, and the opportunity for long, quiet walks along the shore create a ideal setting. Many accommodations in this area offer private balconies or terraces, allowing for intimate moments with a view.

Families will find the area around Sidi Kacem Beach particularly appealing. This beach is known for its wide expanse of sand and generally calmer waters, making it suitable for children.
When is the best time to go to Dar Chaoui?
The best time to go to Dar Chaoui is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) months.

These periods offer the most pleasant weather, with warm but not excessively hot temperatures and generally clear skies, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and cultural sites. You'll find the conditions great for outdoor activities without the intense heat of summer or the cooler, sometimes wetter, days of winter.

For those looking to enjoy the coastal areas and perhaps some relaxation by the water, late spring and early autumn are particularly good. The sea temperatures are comfortable for swimming, and the beaches are less crowded than during the peak summer season. This timing allows for a more tranquil experience while still providing ample sunshine.

Travellers who appreciate cooler weather and want to avoid crowds might also consider the shoulder seasons just outside of these prime windows.
