"Reception were friendly and welcoming and room was good. Beds were super comfortable and safe, fridge etc all included. Ate in bistro and food and service was very good. The one downfall was the cocktail bar after dinner who had no coffee available as in their words "they couldn't find the coffee ..."

"The location for this hotel is spot on. Edinburgh Castle is a short 6 min walk. There is a coffee shop right next door and many restaurants nearby. We tried Makars Mash Bar the first night we arrived…100% recommended. One of the guys on the night shift pretty rude, but the rest of the staff was nice. ..."
