"Do not get me wrong, the staff was super nice and friendly. Only concern was as follows. I arrived just after 2pm and check in is at 3pm, which is fine as I waited in the lobby, my fault I was early. I was the only person there and tried to check in and was asked to wait till 3pm. I waited and other people showed up also getting ready to check in and everyone sat in the lobby. The receptionist called 2 gentlemen to the desk to fill out paperwork and then called two separate parties to complete paperwork, well the check in paper. No one called me to complete this at all, but Receptionist see me sitting there and I was first one in the lobby. At 14:50 the receptionist walked to all the guests and gave them their room key to go up to their rooms. I was a bit amazed by this as I was the first one there and then I walked up to reception and the reception only then gave me the same paperwork she gave the other guest where they asked your details. Not sure why everyone else was helped before me and then even the fact that the receptionist walked around to hand them their keys, while Iโm just sitting there. Was not sure if it was because they could all speak Japanese or if its because Iโm a foreigner, but I should have been helped first surely. "
"Very nice hotel. A little dated but nice. We stayed in a Japanese style room with futons which was nice but very few electrical outlets. Not a big deal. The private onsen we had was very tiny so we opted for the public one which was great! So unless youโre shy, forego the private onsen in your room. Dinner was a kaiseki ryori (Japanese multi course dinner) which was beautiful, just not my favoriteโฆ breakfast was a combination of a Japanese course with buffet. Hotel is very close to the park and shops. I read a recent review online complaining about lack of a/cโฆ there is a/c, works very well it is not obvious but itโs a dial with off, low, med, high. The reviewer should have used google translate ( the off did translate to cut). "
"In love with Noribetsu, so staying here was a no biggie. The place is nice and the room is big. This place was a non-smoking friendly and true compare to another hotel I have stayed last year in Noribetsu where i requested for a non-smoking room to only get a smoking room. The only thing I wish was different is for the meal to change on a daily base, because you will be eating the same breakfast and dinner everyday."
"This spot may not be one of the bigger roykans but is very hospitable. English friendly and onsen is tattoo friendly unfortunately the onsens are incredibly small the outside can only fit 2-3 people and the inside one is barely double that size. Dinner and breakfast were incredible."
